Ooh. I like the action here. And the integration of Randall and the BLofSC characters into the same world. Very cool. You did a great job! And very good characterization of Zurg, Randall (of course!), and the others.

Well......pretty much the "attitude" around Star Command........ I haven't been there yet so I have no idea what it's like. I've got Ty, Buzz, and (I think) XR down, but I need help with Mira and Booster.... I think I can get Nebula down (I already have him to make a plot for Randall staying, gonna love it ^_^)

Well......pretty much the "attitude" around Star Command........ It's like the hub of what amounts to the galaxy's only military force. It's like a military base. The strictness and proper conduct of the military applies there 24/7 when on-duty or working, so that atmosphere is always there. Everything's organized and etc. There are command centers, training simulator rooms, etc, etc. Off-duty, there are places to hang out - like the lounge, mess hall, Ranger cabins, etc - and relax. Everyone practically knows everyone else. It's one big family almost. As Buzz likes to say, "Rangers stick together." Oh, and just so you know, my impression is that several of the Rangers around Star Command tend to like teasing Ty. Mainly due to the fact that he's most famous for having Buzz rescue him 50+ times. He has the "damsel-in-distress" reputation (because heroic stories starring Buzz are always told, except with the bias leaning towards Buzz's actions as opposed to anyone else) and, of course, that would spark some serious disrespect from some of his comerades. Unfortunately, he has a pretty bad rep. Okay, here's the general personalities of Mira and Booster. . . Mira - Strong, independant female. She's always able to add a sense of female intuition and is almost always the voice of reason amongst the guys. She's also quite intelligent, though her opinions and ideas are usually ignored by Buzz and the others. . . Tomboyish 90% of the time, yet with a girly side (likes pink, cares about her looks, etc). Caring. Sensitive. Booster - The "every cloud has a silver lining" type guy. He's hard to get angry, unless it has something to do with someone hurting one of his friends or a villian. He loves animals - or anything that looks like an animal for that matter. Very candid (honest). Incredibly strong (physically); he's the brawn of the team. Like Buzz he's completely oblivious to sarcasm (Ty can testify to that, LOL). Tends to fret (worry) when things go wrong. And, lastly, he's dutifully loyal. He sticks by his friends no matter what - especially Buzz (he practically idolizes the guy, memorizing Buzz-lore and anything having to do with Buzz, period - it's his most irritating quality at times, especially to Ty). Anyways, I hope that helps. Cool. Can't wait to see what happens next!

FINALLY. I got some time to post stuff....well....I don't know where the heck everyone is...but I hope they don't think this is dead. Anyway...Cool....transfer please? ^_^ Well...uhh...ok then umm... This chapter mainly reflects a start of "understanding" between Ran and Ty. Enjoy.
Chapter 5 A Meeting Withheld Buzz had insisted to take care of Zurg as Ty went for the relic. He had spotted the Grubs heating the water of where it had fallen in, the water already bubbling. Ty couldn’t tell why they were doing it….wouldn’t help them get in any way. He stopped onto the left shore of the crimson lake, trying to contemplate the reason for their actions. Then again, he reminded himself that he had seen something poke it’s head up from beneath the water. The relic had fallen right where it had been….perhaps the native had it. Whatever it was, Ty knew it was smart enough to know the Grubs were harmful….or at least, the bubbling lake. He started scanning the shoreline with his peculiar eyes. It wasn’t long before he found a set of three-footed tracks, the remnants of an escapee. He had been right. Looking around, Ty tried to find whatever it was he had seen. Though, with a spot of luck, his eyes fell to the relic sitting down in front of a damp tree, just sitting their like it had rolled out. A little naïve, Ty started for it. Whatever had found it probably ran off. The heating lake probably didn’t kill it, or it wouldn’t have been able to leave the lake, as the tracks were fresh. He kneeled down in front of it, taking the relic by the sides. Sadly…it stayed in his hands for less than a second…. In an instant, something dove at him from behind. Ty lunged forward, losing his grip and letting the orb fall to the ground inches away. He felt whatever it was that had him in a hold had many limbs, he could feel them. Ty felt that the creature had a determined grip, but not a strong one. He quit trying to get the hands off his neck and concentrated on getting out. He moved his left arm back, pulling his right hand around his left one. With an extra force from his right hand, his elbow slammed into the creature’s body. An echoing wail was heard and the creature released it’s grip, letting Ty go. On instant, he turned back as his opposition got to the ground. He stopped. What was in front of him was perhaps the strangest thing he had ever seen, and he was a ranger. The creature was long….about as long as Ty was high. It’s reptilian characteristics were many, so far Ty classified it as such. But now, he felt instant regret and sympathy. The reptile had severely been harmed. It had several slits and a gallery of cuts across it’s body. The gallery’s masterpiece would have to be the deep head scar on it’s forehead…..what had happened to the poor thing? * Randall knew that something was out to get him. At first, he thought he was helpless against it. However. The heated water had helped. The slits in his body, fused with the heat, gave him an intense rush of adrenaline that made his previous stunt on the human possible. Randall set his sights on the human in front of him. This had to have been with those things that tried to kill him….then again. Randall had lost his thinking sense at this time, as the adrenaline rush was temporary. He had to use it to dispose of the human, or at least disable him, and get out. “Easy…easy….” The human whispered. Randall could feel the fear dwelling in the human’s body. This was good. Although….Randall came to think of any human word to be the cover for a threat. He didn’t take fear as an urge to stop, but as an advantage, and he was going to expose it. He chuckled in thought, his primitive state rising. Perhaps he had been successful in his attempt to kill himself….because this wasn’t him. * The creature lunged at him. Ty moved back, urgently finding out that the creature’s upper limbs had become hands, the first set which Ty grappled with. His back impacted the moist tree, making the pain more subtle. The reptile pushed downward as Ty pushed back to no avail. It lunged forward, Ty moving his head to the side as a row pair of teeth came crashing down besides his ear. Another attempt to bit came next. Ty let go and dropped, rolling off to the left as the reptile’s sharp pointed teeth dug into the moss word. It was slightly amusing at the reptile’s struggle to get it’s teeth from the tree, but Ty still found pity in it. * Randall’s slight knowledgeable side didn’t make him feel any better. It made him feel like an idiot. He felt helpless again, having his teeth and wood and forked tongue struggling not to touch the moss. He felt his adrenaline burst drain heavily as he struggled. His normal self, his calm side, started wondering. Why hadn’t the human attacked him? He had a clear shot, several in fact, but Randall felt nothing. Whatever strength he had in his body drained as he tore his mouth from the timber. He felt a few splinters pierce his mouth, but they were easily over looked. For some reason, Randall started thinking of what was going on. But they were quickly interrupted when sounds from behind approached. * Ty watched as the creature turned it’s head back. He was sure the reptile didn’t know of the sounds in the distance, but Ty knew they were the Grubs. Having slow minds, they finally came to terms that heating the lake gained no results. He ran through his options quickly. He had to take the relic, which was at the distracted creature’s front feet. But, he also knew the grubs wouldn’t take kindly to natives on the planet. Comparing option with results, he tried to think of the best pair. He finally arrived at one. However, this result surely wasn’t one a normal ranger would consider. Already regretting, Ty leaned over to pick up the relic. The reptile turned back his attention to him just as Ty gave it a rather soft, weak punch to the chest. Ty backed off as the creature looked in an angered manner. It worked. Ty knew the creature wouldn’t come willingly, nor force, so he had to use it’s rather potent anger fuse to chase him, and it’s self, out. On instant, the creature dove for him. Ty turned and ran as the reptile fell to the ground and started chasing on all right limbs. He underestimated the reptile’s speed, but noted that it wasn’t pushing itself. * Buzz felt worried that Ty had not yet come back. Zurg was currently occupied a few feet away, still trying to fix his Ion Blaster. He was kneeling down, checking his robe for tools. “Wrench….no! Plasma coil? No!” he complained, trying to find spare ammo. The ranger’s prayers were answered. At the corner of his right eye, he spotted Ty coming through the tree drenched path to the clearing, nothing the orb in his hands. Ty had found it. He was about to call over congrats, but then noticed something else was coming from behind his companion. Buzz could tell it wasn’t a Grub, and by it’s appearance, it looked to be native. A reptile of some sort unlike anything he’d seen. But whatever it was, it’s eyes were dead set on Ty, showing it’s sharp pointed teeth. Yet again, Buzz was about to shout Ty’s approaching threat, but a char-up sound came from behind him. Looking back, he saw Zurg get up from the array of dropped tools, including a Planet Z plasma gun, raising his charged Ion Blast. But it wasn’t aimed at Buzz….it was aimed at Ty, and the creature. “Parsec! Look out!”. The blast fired. Ty dove behind a solid, earth-bound gray bolder as the blast hit. He felt the impact only several inches away, the dirt and rubble being spat on him. He really had the nerve to worry about returning with a ragged suit, however, something else stopped it all. Ty’s thoughts immediately shifted back on his left. His eyes widened as it fell a foot away. The reptile that was chasing him fell to the ground like an unshackled skeleton in a dungeon. It’s eyes closed, body unmoved, except for the one twitch in it’s few digits….it was silent. Ty’s remorse and sympathy, and over all character, took over. Not a direct blast, but the reptile was close enough. He saw it’s once blue tale was starched with black mortar. Letting care take over, Ty didn’t worry about what it would do to him. He placed the relic to his sides, pulling his arms around the creature and pulling it towards him. He straightened it so it’s whole body was behind the rock, setting it’s back against it. Ty could tell it looked more terrible in it’s condition than before. It was drained of every ounce of energy. None to lift a hand, none to open it’s eyes, which Ty had little time to see. Ty knew one thing though. No matter what or who it was, he knew it was hurt. That Zurg had done it. And that was more than enough. He had to get them to the ship and get to Star Command, get it to a medical center and fix it up. Zurg had endangered it. Anyone hurt by Zurg was at least able to come to Star Command. Ty looked one last look at the reptile before taking the relic into his hands. “Come on there’s….gotta be a switch or something on here…” he said out loud, trying to figure out how to make the device work. Buzz was handling Zurg, but knew that wouldn’t last long at all. “Come on!” he yelled, but the relic’s twisted figure offered no reward for his anger….. He sat it on his lap, hands laying on it’s top. He looked to the reptile again. Every time he looked at it…no…not it….him. Every time he looked at him….he could tell that he deserved sympathy. It’s battered figure, it’s tied state….in essence…a misunderstood soul. Ty could tell his anger toward him was not completely his fault. Ty agreed that if life gave him a battered body….he’d be angry too… (TTTSSSHHH!!!) “What!?”.

Yay! You did a great job on this chapter as well! I like the interactions between characters and such. You do a very nice job on that. And the characterizations - as always - are right on! Two big thumbs up for ya.

Ahh.....phew.... Well. Me and Randall are getting into the writing swing again, so I'm hoping to get some more stuff here again. Anyway. This chapter is a short reflection between Buzz and Ty on their situation....I think....enjoy anyway.
Chapter 6 Argumentive Escape Ty watched with a great relief as the orb in his lap began shinning light from the it’s center. It hovered and spun, the portal that had seemingly brought them here opened feet away from Ty’s right. Buzz turned from knocking Zurg back, looking back to see the portal. When he spotted the hovering relic behind the rock, he ran for it. As soon as he came close, he crouched down behind it next to Ty, seeing the shadow of the hovering relic on his suit. “Good work Parsec…lets leave here…we don’t want Zurg here where theirs life” Buzz said. Ty nodded. He was about to get up, but then remembered. He half rose, turning to his left. “Parsec! What are you doing!?”. “He needs help!”. Buzz leaned in more, spotting the creature that had chased Ty laid against the rock. “What! Ty it attacked you…” Buzz yelled, trying to put some common sense into the ranger’s head. “I don’t care! He’s hurt….Zurg’s blast…” Ty started. “No Ty!” Buzz shouted. Ty didn’t listen as he slung the reptile’s top arms over his shoulders, looking at Buzz. “Buzz…I don’t care if I get demoted or if I’m going against any regulations but…all I know is that someone was hurt and if we leave him here…especially after Zurg’s blast and well…”. Buzz looked at Ty’s eyes. He was serious. But taking an unknown species from an unknown planet was allot to risk for. But then again, the ranger code does say to protect and help all life, no matter the reasons. But….he was unsure about it all… Ty noticed his captain’s uneasiness. With a stern look, he laid down the line. “I’m taking him back to Star Command…”. Those final words hung in the balance. Buzz just didn’t know what to say.Ty ran for the portal as Buzz grabbed the relic. A few Grubs emerged from the woods, getting counter blasts from Buzz. Ty struggled to keep the reptile up as he made his way through the portal, Buzz following. Zurg went over, pointing a metal finger at the portal. “Follow them!” he ordered. * Ty quickly, and as gently as possible, deposited the battered reptile on the DIG, hopping onto it and taking the controls, Buzz followed swiftly with the relic in hand. The portal remained near the hole, which proved to be lucky. “There they are!” Zurg yelled again, stopping in front of the portal with the Grubs. “Uh sir….” One of the Grubs started. “What?!”. The Grub pointed down, showing the dark lord the hollow hole they were standing on. “….It’s just not my day…ahh!!!”. The group fell in with a solid impact, leaving the two rangers to give a grin as they headed toward their ship. * Letting the DIG find it’s own way to the ship’s dock platform, the two went for the exit ramp. Knowing Zurg would come any moment, Buzz also pitched in. “Could you help me get him on?” Ty asked, taking the unconscious creature’s upper arms. Buzz was going to say something about his “no pets” policy, but after Ty’s previous words, it seemed empty and rude. “What are you going to do with it…”. “….Him…” Ty noted. “How do you know it’s…never mind…well?” Buzz asked, wanting his question answered. Ty repositioned his arms to get a better grip. “I…don’t know….I guess I’ll see after treatment…” Ty answered, unsure himself. Buzz was slightly worried Ty was going over his head again, but his words back there were still in his head. He noticed Ty was looking at him, giving him a clue. Slightly disliking in touched the creature, he lifted it’s lower body to help Ty lift up to the entrance ramp. Buzz was slightly annoyed, the reptile’s rather long tail on his left shoulder. * Having noticed Buzz’s displeasement, Ty took the reptile to his cabin on the ship, setting him down on the bed, stomach down. He positioned the pillow under the creature’s head, seeing it was still out. He guessed it’s back was on the verge of breaking. He really did hope he wouldn’t wake up till they made it back to Command, it’s waking up with the stars passing by the window was something he guessed the creature would be unnatural to. He got on a knew and looked the reptile over again. It’s several cuts reminded him that the creature didn’t have it’s true appearance right now. He had been harmed, mistreated, or abused. He figured it wasn’t owned, as it seemed to be that it’s lived in the swampy place for years. He felt excessive pity for the poor thing. Ty started to think that Perhaps, after he was fixed up, he could find him a good home. Ty got to his feet, heading to the door. He stopped, heading back. After a moments wait, he took the covers up to the reptiles neck. He stood there for a moment till he heard Buzz’s yell from the richardpit. On instant, the ranger turned, opened the door, and ran down the hall to the left. “….Emm….ehh….”. * Buzz called the ranger over to his seat when he stepped in. Ty took it, watching as the foggy vision outside the windows became black, fitted with several stars in precise and random order. “We’re lucky Zurg didn’t scatter fighters on us…” Ty remarked, looking out the window to find no indication of Zurg fleet. “Well we got what we came for….and it seems Zurg wants it too…better beef security in Star Command…” Buzz said, tapping a few switches on the control panel. Ty leaned back into his seat, looking at Buzz. “….Buzz….your ok with this right?”. Buzz looked at him with a slight confused look. “With what?”. Ty shrugged. “I mean…you know…” he said, pointing backward through the hall. “Oh that….do whatever you want with it Parsec….” Buzz said, looking forward again. “Keep it as a pet if your set on it…..but it’s not coming on my ship again…who knows what it can do…” Buzz remarked. Ty thought on that. Well…..after the reptile got fixed up, maybe Ty could keep it. After all, some say having a pet is nearly the same as having a friend. Sure, it’ll probably need some training, but with the way it looked….Ty was sure it would be easier if he helped it. Besides, it was pretty smart to begin with. But he was pretty sure Commander Nebula wouldn’t like the idea of a ranger having a pet reptile run ramped in Star Command. Still….Ty was unsure what he would actually do. Giving it away seemed a little irresponsible. They wouldn’t know what to do it. Besides…Ty felt he was getting slightly attached to it. Maybe it and him had some similarities…. “….We’re coming up on Star Command….”.

^_^ I'm gonna take a look at that movie for the series and get some ideas of Star Commands interior. So it'll be a bit before I can make the next chapter. But I already got a plot set so it's just a matter of working it in.
