Anybody else watch this show? I thought I remembered a thread on it awhile back, but it's not here now, so I might have imagined THAT. I started watching it earlier this week for the first time(never been a big Cartoon Network or flash animation fan), after seeing a thread on I-Kronos about it. I know MeLTss is a fan, pretty sure Mirage is. I got totally hooked, I mean line and sinker, on that show! It is so funny and so gosh-darn cute at the same time. I know a long while back somebody started a "Foster's/Monsters Inc." crossover, with Randall, and I honestly had no idea what they were writing about, but now I really wish they'd come back and finish it! I have to say, though, that Bloo reminded me an awful lot of a certain green, one-eyed smart-@$$ from "M.I.". He wasn't QUITE that bad, but with a little more practice, he has that potential. And poor Eduardo, the cowardly bull-monster thingie-looks like he should be on some biker dude's leather jacket, but he'd be scared to death of a Harley! My favorite, though, had to be Wilt-who could NOT absolutely love him? He's so polite, so helpful, so ....apologetic...about EVERYTHING. OK, that might get a tad aggravating, but I'd have to forgive him. He would be a great role model for Randall, since he certainly looks like he has had a very rough and unpleasant past himself, but he doesn't let it get him down one bit. Randall could use a bit of Wilt's optimism to help overcome the troubles in HIS past and put them where they belong...in the past.

;D I love that show. Then again, I grew up with multiple cartoonnetwork shows and Nickelodeon ... Wilt's my favorite ^__^ I think it's the best show they've come out with since ... Billy and Mandy. =)

I've been watching Foster's on and off -- although when I DO watch it, I think, "Dang, why don't I watch this more often?!" Its writing is snappy and extremely witty most of the time, and I LOVE the character design and artwork (I was first drawn to the show because the character designs -- especially Eduardo's -- reminded me so much of stuff I've seen in the Art of Monsters, Inc. book). I'm not a huge fan of Flash animation, either, but this is probably the show that pulls it off best of all the ones out there. Series like Atomic Betty and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi! are WAY too obvious about appearing Flash-animated, while Foster's really seems to take advantage of the medium, making all the animations "smooth as butter" rather than the usual, obviously-digitized jerkiness. It's a treat to look at, is witty, has great characters -- and that's what I admire about it.^^ ~Light Rises

Yeah, THAT'S the one I saw Friday, after making a point of catching it due to the hype I'd seen. Pretty much the same reason I bought "Monsters, Inc.", really, because of what I'd seen others write about this "Randall Boggs" in fanfics! That was hilarious, Mac getting so totally wired on sugar! I've seen kids pretty much get just that jacked-up on sweets, too-the day after Halloween is a NIGHTMARE for teachers! That was part of what annoyed me so much about Bloo, though, and made him remind me of Mike Wazowski, since like Mike, he's not above taking advantage of his best friend. Bloo was the one who tried to give Mac the candy in the first place, to bribe him into not telling Madame Foster about the house party. I swear, he was like this little blue crack dealer, trying to hook some kid on the playground! One thing leads to another, Mac keeps getting ahold of more and more things with sugar in them, and ends up running buck-nekked through the city! I thought it was pretty funny how they had to chase him down in Madame Foster's car(Frankie and the old lady had the bus on an out-of-town trip), with Bloo steering while Wilt worked the accelerator and brakes from the back seat, with those long legs hanging over the front seat! I missed the very ending though, right after poor Mr. Herriman was about to get into trouble for ahem, "allowing" the party to take place, since one of my dogs got out and decided to go pick a fight with another dog through the fence. There's a four-episode "mini-marathon" on tomorrow morning, though, so I set the VCR to record it, and I'll have to cross my fingers that the power doesn't blink off tonight.
As for the cross-over fic, it was only one chapter long, entitled "One Special Door", by someone named "Digi-Garden", and had just had Randall find his way to the house after wandering the streets of the Human World. There really wasn't a lot of detail, not yet. I guess after I've watched a few more episodes of the show, and gotten a better "feel" for the characters, I might consider a cross-over myself. The whole thing reminded me so much of the opening of "Monsters, Inc." with the same sort of animation showing all those strange monsters, while the song is playing, right before it cuts to Sulley's snoring. The humor was quite similar to some of what I've seen in Pixar's movies, with that subtle "nudge-nudge' sort of thing and in-jokes that little kids completely would NOT get, like Bloo acting like a crack dealer, for example.

Hmm I remember that. Yeah, that and the "Cheese" episode are my fav so far. XD "Your soap smells like foot." "HOT ROD FLAMES!" "bunnies..." "Ok, I don't even KNOW you anymore... - -Shut up. Atleast the bunnies are on fire..."
The house party one was great! Like a rave or something! ^ ^

'Foster's' is great, isn't it? I've been watching it ever since it came out- the first episode is the best, IMO, because it's introducing the whole idea of imaginary friends being real and how Mac had to put Bloo in Foster's. It was really poignant yet funny at the same time.
I, personally, love CoCo, especially since 'coco' is all she can say. She's witty in her own unique way, and she's very...different. ;D I actually quite like Bloo- he and Mac contrast very well, even if he is a little...proud. The theme tune for Foster's is really good too- so catchy. One of the best programs Cartoon Network has aired for a while. ;D

They had four back-to-back episodes on this morning, and one at 8 this evening, so I got to see five of 'em today, yay! The one that came on tonight was the "MacDaddy" episode, which featured "Cheese". My sides are STILL aching, I laughed so hard! "I like chocolate milk!"
Poor Frankie, though-that girl has to put up with soooo much, mostly from Mr. Herriman, who, along with Dr. Hamsterviel from "Lilo and Stitch: The Series", would most likely end up as snake food if *I* had anything to do with it! One of this morning's eps was the one where they all went to the mall in search of streamers for Madame Foster's birthday party(Mr. Herriman insisted you cannot have a party without them), and Bloo just HAD to get Madame Forster this vibrating massage chair, despite the fact that between all of 'em they only had like, $12.49! He didn't want poor Coco to go along because she was broke-"You CANNOT go to a mall if you're broke; it's the LAW!" Coco ended up taking several different jobs at the mall, plus she can lay plastic eggs with money in 'em, so SHE ended up buying Madame Foster the massage chair All the whole time they are in the mall, with various members of the group getting separated and lost, Bloo kicking salespeople in the shins and calling them "rip-off artists", and Eduardo panicking, Wilt got stuck at the entrance, happily holding the door and greeting everyone who came and went. I DID see him kinda get aggravated in one episode, though, where the home was having this big "Adopt-a-Thought" Saturday, to adopt out various Friends to new families, and Bloo and Mac didn't want any of them to leave, so they kept sabataging the whole thing, including tying up poor Wilt with duct tape and locking him in a closet(can't say I blame 'em). He kinda starts to take on this "Samuel L. Jackson" attitude and persona when he's reached his limits of patience, which is a bit of a surprise, considerin how nice and polite and contrite he usually is.

OH, and there is this one episode, which I have not yet seen, called "The Great LaBlooski", in which Steve Buscemi makes an animated cameo appearance, since it's based on one of his movie! That one is from season one, so I don't know if they'll show it in reruns, but maybe they'll eventually come out with a DVD.
