Now, to someone who knows nothing about Star Wars, this convo can seem very deranged.

What? It's how the stories continue. I've done it before.

I saw the third installment a few weeks ago. It was pretty good - I love how well they did Yoda. ^_^ I was doing a little fangirl squeal all throughout his fight with Senator Palpatine/ Darth Sideous in the Senate Chamber and ultimately gets cast down (can you say "symbolism"?). Yoda's the main reason I went and watched the movie - I was hoping for a repeat of his awesomeness fight in the second movie (you know, where he's all kick@$$ fighting Count Dooku (sp?), then, when the fight is over, picks up his cane and totters away, an old man again). And I was very pleased with the third movie because of it. Last year, in my English class, I was trained to look out for symbolism, especially in pieces of writing and poetry, so I read pretty deeply into some shots. For example, there was that scene where Obi-Wan and Anakin are walking along beneath a pavillion of some sort, right before Obi-Wan leaves for that planet (where he has that chase scene where he has to ride that lizard thing while chasing after that robot - that sounds so weird out of context. ; ). Anyway, so they're talking, and Obi-Wan steps off the pavillion, out of the shade and into the light. He turns back to look at Anakin, gestures for him to follow him, but Anakin shakes his head. Obi-Wan continues on - Anakin stays in the shadows, never entering into the light. OOOoooh... Symbolic foreshadowing...

Personally, I was disappointed with that fight.
Sideous completly SUCKED as a lightsaber duelist. I mean, COME ON. He's suppose to be the lord of the Sith and here he is getting beat by a second-rate duelist like Mace, no offense, he really IS good. I was just disappointed that Sideous didn't show any proise at all.
