Oh, dear. I believe I was mildly depressed several years ago (overshadowed by my sister, hated my life, etc.), but three years ago I just... started thinking positive (sounds stupid, I know, but it worked). I began thinking "okay, if people can't be nice to me, I'll be nice to them regardless". I think that if you can distract yourself (as other people said, through books, movies, frienship, etc.), then that really goes a long way. I've always found that listening to cheerful (but not annoyingly so) music really helps (like many Beatles songs, or "On my way" (The Proclaimers), etc.).

Yes but that's the thing, I'm CONSTANTLY working now, and really have no free time anymore, my life is just brought down constantly by all of this and it really sucks.

Maybe while your working you could remember good times you had. That helps me sometimes.

I could try, it's kinda difficult as you're always told to keep your mind on the job. Heh, it might remind me of what I'd LIKE to be doing right now....but yeah, I could try.

Heh, unless I'm done with my work, I'm stuck in never ending monotony though. But yeah ^_^
Hmm, reality is ALWAYS there to remind me though....

Well.... Reality sucks, we all know that. So sometimes...write a story and put yourself in it. In a better situation. And think on that. It would make you feel better.

I've tried.....but reality is ALWAYS more overpowering than anything else, it'll suddenly latch on and drag you out...

I suggest you see The Matrix ^_^
