I'm serious!
In the paper TODAY. Eisner is getting replaced THIS September by Robert A. Iger, a loyal lietenant of Walt Disney Co.!
Eisner's growing heat amoungst fans of Pixar and yes, even fellow employees have led him to take out himself.
And the best part is! Robert is going to bring Pixar talks back!!!!!

It was actually announced last week that Eisner would be stepping down a year early, and that Bob Iger(called "Mini-Me Eisner" by many)had already been elected to as his successor. HOWEVER, it still waits to be seen IF Iger can renegotiate a new deal with Pixar, which is a matter of whether he can get along with Steve Jobs better than Eisner did. I just read the rull article, which was ion CNN's Money site, and it did NOT say that the new contract between Disney and Pixar was a done-deal. I have been telling everyone now for months, that Jobs was waiting for Iger(who has been known as Eisner's successor now for months, too)to replace Eisner, to see if they can get along any better, and that this was the reason that Pixar had not yet entered into talks with any other studiors, and why the release date for "Cars" has been pushed back. It gives us a little more hope of a Disney/Pixar reunion, but like I said, it is far from being a certain thing at this point. Here is the full article for those who would like to read it. money.cnn.com/2005/03/14/news/fortune500/disney_pixar/index.htm?cnn=yespitbulllady

But it's close enough. Eisner is gone, so Pixar should be more consider to how Iger's views. Since he doesn't share Eisners, thankfully, he should be understanding to Pixar's asking.
Why would he want to bring Pixar back and try to force a Disney-More contract on them? Why make a stupid decision to split Pixar away from their Characters, something NO ONE wanted, so early in his career?
Believe me. If Iger doesn't want a short career, he'll make the right decision.

Well, at least Eisner's as good as gone- we're one step closer to a reunion, and maybe Disney will start going uphill rather than down as they have been over the past few years. ;D

It's highly likely Disney will agree with Pixar this time around, seeing what the wrong decision has done. Have to admire Jobs' patience.
If I remember right, Iger is on good terms with Roy Disney....

Don't get your hopes up too much, people. There is a REASON why Bob Iger has been dubbed "Mini-Me Eisner". He is a long-time Eisner minion, who shared many of Eisner's beliefs. The main difference-and it waits to be seen if there IS a difference-will be how willing he is to compromise and work with others, in other words, how easy he is to "push over". Eisner was iron-willed and totally inflexible, which is why he and Steve Jobs, who is just the same, could not get along. Also, keep in mind that Eisner isn't leaving until September 30, 2005, and that even once he does leave, he will remain a key member of the Disney Board of Directors, so his influence will still be there. pitbulllady

Perhaps. But I STILL doubt Iger will make Eisner's mistake grow even more, or his starting career is finished.

Hmmm...
Maybe I'm just stupid or something, or I'm just not as keen an an observer, but could someone remind me what Eisner's mistakes were again?

Well, Pixar and Disney seemed to go together pretty well, both known for having a reputation for being creative.
Hopefully when Iger becomes CEO, Disney and Pixar can get back together as partners.
