So how does this work out for us....
If Disney pays off it's depts, then it wouldn't have to pay them and use that money to fill their pockets so that they could abide by Pixar's increase profit want?

So they want to carry on with a new deal with Pixar? I guess that's a good thing- especially concerning a sequel to MI.

Yeah, "PERHAPS" is the operative word here. IF a new deal is worked out that involved signing the ownership of the Pixar characters back over to Pixar, 100%, that could be very BAD for us. Steve Jobs has said repeatedly that his company is against making sequels to existing films, but wants to move on to new characters and new new material. Also, ALL merchandise connected to Pixar films, such as plushies, action figures, books, clothing, etc., is distributed and marketed by Disney, so if they give up total ownership of the characters, that not only will likely mean NO sequel at all, but no more merchandise in Disney Stores, or in the theme parks, though admittedly, the amount of Randall-related stuff is very scarce to non-existant. The BEST deal WE, as fans, could hope for is that the contract will REQUIRE Pixar to make sequels, and Disney and Pixar will have "joint custody", so to speak, of the characters, and share in their profits as well as the box office of the movies.

I still think my ideas for a new contract are good and fair on both sides...

Yeah, though some part of me thinks that if a deal like that IS suggested, then Pixar will feel a little...threatened? I mean, they've always seemed pretty dead-set against sequels, so for Disney to practically demand something like that of them...I dunno. Something about that makes me think that Pixar wouldn't be too happy.

As said, I thought my contract idea might be appropriate...
