it's plans for Pixar sequels, in light of current(and apparently friendly)negotiations between Jobs and Iger? Check out this new article from Jim Hill Media, which does seem to suggest that, along with updates on Chris Sanders' "American Dog", and some other Disney films in-the-works, which actually do sound quite promising. www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/articles/showarticle.php?ID=1580pitbulllady

That's very interesting indeed. It looks as though Disney seem really intent with going ahead with Toy Story 3, since they're already telling the public their storyline, etc., but with the negotiations continuing, they might have to cancel, as I'm sure Pixar wouldn't be happy with Disney making sequels to their films. There seems to be a sort of halfway thing going on- on the one hand, Disney want to make Toy Story 3, yet on the other hand, they're in negotiations with Pixar.

There seems to be a lot of controversy here.
It's good that talks are starting up. But is it a good or BAD thing that Disney is stopping Toy Story 3? With all they spent on making it....does this mean they might actually hand it over to Pixar?
And what about M.I.?
Does this mean that, instead of wasting what they have, Disney will let Pixar handle the sequels as part of the deal for negotiations?

I don't think that Disney is going to go ahead with Toy Story 3, and I tend to agree with Jim Hill that this was the whole point: the only display they had was with a big sign saying "RECALLED". Sure, that's supposed to be part of the plot, where Buzz is recalled to China, BUT it could very well indicate that Disney is recalling the whole film, or plans to once a new deal with Pixar is worked out.

You mean stopping production right? Or was I right on it being given to Pixar?

No one knows at this point, but I'd think that "recalled" would mean over and out, period.

The thing is, nothing is being said for certain, is it? And it seems as though nothing is going to be said for certain for a little while yet.

"Was that a double-meaning?"
Either way, is this good news or bad news?

Both, in a way. But things could completely change- as I said, nothing's for certain.
