This sucks. Everyone knows Disney can't write a good sequel to save their butts! Sure, one out of every five sequels is acceptable ... but they can never capture what the previous film had. Pixar made only one sequel, and that's the best Disney sequel ever!

I agree with FONY. Most of the sequels made by Disney don't seem to hold the magic that the original film had.

On a slightly more positive note, though, according to Animated-news.com, Pixar execs will probably have access to the Circle 7 studio, where Disney is making the sequels, which means that they will very likely have creative input, if not be allowed to actually work on the sequels themselves. While Disney will retain the rights to the characters, etc., Pixar could still have a lot more impact, so those sequels would basically be a collaboration between the two.

Not only tha fact that Disney has a lot of control over MI2, but even the general idea of a Toy Story 3 is making me cringe. Toy Story was great, as was its sequel, but really, a THIRD one? *shakes head*

There's only so much you can say on a subject before becoming redundant.

Exactly. I don't understand how Disney can even consider the idea, other than to make a few extra bucks.

Personally the fate of M.I. 2 now lies on Disney's production of Toy Story 3. If it does well (Physically AND Emotionally), then that's good... Then again, we can't really predict much... We know Randall's gonna be in the sequel in some way, though most likely they'd ruin things AGAIN for him.

Let's just hope they have the common sense to change Randall's fate...
