I am a believer in Murphy being eventually right. So with all these monsters scaring millions of children, what happens when a parent happens to have gone to the room to gaze upon their "little angel", or whatever? An adult almost has to see a monster eventually. Or someone opens a closet "prematurely", like when all the doors in the world went off, or SOMETHING!

What do you think Scarers are trained for?
Anyway... If such a thing were to happen, Scareing is basically a....ugh...let me drag Ran in....
Ok lets see....well three seconds for him, five for everyone else -_- So in that time frame the risk of an adult coming is very unlikely. And even if one WERE to come in and spot a Scarer, they have enough time to head back into the Floor and have the room scheduled to be shredded. I seriously doubt a first incident that a person would come into their child's room with a shotgun or tranquilizer pistol.

And even if one WERE to come in and spot a Scarer, they have enough time to head back into the Floor and have the room scheduled to be shredded. I seriously doubt a first incident that a person would come into their child's room with a shotgun or tranquilizer pistol. While the time frame in which a Scarer is in a room is very brief, it still cannot, by virtue of sheer numbers, rule out a parent walking in. It's unlikely, though, that unless that parent were right outside and already armed when they heard their child scream, that they would be armed, and certainly not with a tranquilizer gun, unless this family lived at a zoo or animal control facility. Tranquilizing drugs are controlled substances, many lethal to humans, or having the capacity to be manufactured into dangerous "recreational" drugs, like "Angel Dust", and are much more heavily controlled than firearms! In the event of a parent just chancing upon a monster, the parent's initial shock would probably last long enough for the monster to make good its escape and close off the door portal, so that when the parent checked the closet through which it had departed, the parent would only see a closet. The parent would most likely try to rationalize, as most adults do, that he/she had seen a shadow, a car light on the wall, a coat hanging up in the closet, whatever-rather than accept that he/she had seen a real monster. Some might take up a nightly vigil in the kid's room for several nights, probably armed by this time, to make sure, but after even a brief encounter with a parent, it's unlikely that this particular door would be used for awhile, until things have had time to "cool down" on the other side. It would seem to me, though, that making kids laugh would be a far more risky activity, in terms of alerting parents that something odd is going in the kid's room, than scaring. Scaring is quick-either the kid screams or he doesn't, and there's no point in wasting time in the room if the kid isn't scared. Making a kid laugh, on the other hand, takes time, as we saw with Mike's performance. The kid just didn't get it at first, so it took trial and error to figure out just what made THAT particular kid laugh. This means that the Comedians have to spend more time in each kid's room than the Scarers did, putting themselves at greater risk of discovery. pitbulllady

Well Scareing usually occurs in shifts. Not like an entire company is scareing at the same time.
Which is why Laughter is just as idiotic...
