npc.comicgenesis.com/for Nov 7. The discussion forum picked up on the Monsters Inc. similarity. It is a little bit of a long story to expain the background of why the mother is reacting that way, best if you read the strip from the beginning (it is my favorite).

That's pretty funny, and at least this time, the nickname 'Kitty' is actually related to the reciever of said name, rather than just being plucked out of the air randomly!

Come to think of it, a better way to learn of this comic is to buy the CDs (the uberCD has the previous superCDs, then there are a couple more superCDs). It is ssslllooowww in loading if you have dial-up, there are a lot of strips in the continuing story, and there is important additional background info on the CDs.

I have no idea what was going on in 'Boo's' mind when she nicknamed Sulley 'Kitty'! To me he looks like a cross between a Polar Bear, Ram and a Lion. Hmm, I mentioned a predatory cat! Now were getting some backstory... lol, just a suggestion.

Now were getting some backstory... lol, just a suggestion. Sulley doen't even look remotely feline to me, and he sure doesn't move like one(THAT is Randall's forte')! OK...maybe he does move a little bit like my fat old white cat, Buddy, but Buddy doesn't exactly move with what most folks would consider :feline grace", either. Anyway, Sulley is supposed to look like a cross between a bear and a gorilla, with ram's horns, and an alligator-like tail. Little kids are funny, though, when they're first learning about animals, and they will associate one particular trait with one particular kind of animal. In Boo's case, she associated furriness with cats, probably because up to that point, a cat was the only furry animal she'd ever seen that she knew the name of. I had a friend, years ago, whose toddler thought that all animals with STRIPES were kitties, because their cat happened to be a tabby. My Kingsnake, my brindle Pit Bull Terrier and Akita...were all referred to as "kitties". I could almost understand this in the case of the dogs; at least they had LEGS, but a SNAKE? pitbulllady
