What other monsters do you know that have the "flavor" of Monsters Inc.? I find a lot of H. P. Lovecraft's and his friends have creations which are quite intriging.

What other monsters do you know that have the "flavor" of Monsters Inc.? I find a lot of H. P. Lovecraft's and his friends have creations which are quite intriging. The only other ones I can think of would be the cast of the old Nicktoon, "AHHH! Real Monsters!", and possibly some of the cast of "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends". Although the latter aren't "monsters" in the exact same term as those of Monsters, Inc., since they are not part of a "monster world", and most are not born to others of their own kind, many ARE monsters in every sense of the word with regards to appearance and abilities, and many were imagined specifically to be violent and dangerous(the "Extremasaurs", which name notwithstanding, are not dinosaur-like). It's easy for me to see the original "Mons" as having been the first primitive Imaginary Friends, or the offspring of Imaginary Friends and humans(some Imaginary Friends in the "Foster's Universe" CAN reproduce the "old-fashioned way", and many have shown such interest in not only each other, but humans on the show). Like many of the denizens of Monstropolis, many of the residents of Foster's Home have obvious characteristics of familiar animals, too. pitbulllady

Real Monsters is always what pops into my mind, but apart from that...Hmm...Well, Some of the monsters in Halloween Town are slightly MI-esque, and the general idea for the story is similar too.
