Well, after a bit of thought, I decided to go see the show.
I thought it was well done, and the coreography was excellent. It was certainly quite family entertainment. On that note, a few scenes were not shown, and they added some 'classic rock' to the music.
In this version, apparently Randall charges Sulley, sulley dodges, and Randall crashes into the door where he is banished. Crazy No? Guess they didn't want to touch on the Sulley banishing Randall thing.
Anyway, I thought that it was a great show overall. Too bad I didn't see much Randall type merchandise (It was a wall hanger where you stick creatures on the wall.) But, I had a great time.
Oh, and Randall does make some nice apperences, even one where apparently Waternoose was talking to Randall while Sulley and Mike were outside the company doors debating Sulley's plan to bring Boo back. Interesting...

Yeah, "Interesting" is quite an understatement! I thought it really odd that they chose to remove all guilt from Sulley in throwing Randall into the Human World and make it look like it was Randall's fault he ended up there, too. VERY different from the movie, huh? Apparently somebody at Disney(after all, Pixar has nothing to do with the Disney On Ice shows)realized that Sulley would not come out smelling like a rose after doing what he did, so they changed it.

... on another note, it didn't have that 'Sulley hanging for dear life' on the door vault scene sequence either, but considering how small those door frames are, I didn't know if they could even pull something like that, or even if the sequence was a bit to innapropriate for the show. Probrably is...

The skater who skated Randall didn't seem to be at all difficult. He seemed to be a master, making Randall a bit more believable.
... If anyone thinks I'm giving away too much information about the show, let me know and I'll stop.

WHY did you think it was odd Pitbulllady?
I thought it's exactly what they would have done.

Well, people are gonna suspect something, aren't they? I mean, I'd say probably at least half of the audience has watched the actual film at some point, right? So, they know the storyline and what happens to Randall. Then, they go see it on ice and spot that it's all changed. Won't THEY suspect something?

Like THEY care about what happens to the "bad guy"?

Perhaps....few who speak up..... But the overall odds aren't good....
Dang them...lies..... They're just covering up for the "hero".
Wait a minute.....
Ohh....I think we've found JUST what happened in the company play...or close....

Aaah- good point. But...I mean, would the monsters believe it? They know how agile Randall is- would they really believe Randall 'accidentally' going through the door? And why was the door open in the first place?

Yes.....yes they would. Perhaps "Randall" (using parenthesis since it's a lie) broke the door part open and Sully destroyed the frame and light.
Besides. Who would care? You saw how everyone booed him in the middle of the segment. Who's to say that won't when.....it happens to him....

I can't believe they hated him so much. Somtimes people just dislike people for the sake of disliking them.
