Hello all you happy people. Monsters Inc. on Ice is coming to perform in S.L.C. where I am. I've heard several things about Monsters Inc. on Ice and even saw a picture of the Randall Costume. (Nowhere close to the real thing, especially with the face.) Anyway, I just wondered if anyone saw it, and would you recommend me to go see it?

Well so far I heard is it basically tells the same thing. Only this time you see it up close and personal.

I've seen some pictures of the costumes, which look pretty pathetic, but I don't know anything other than that. ;D

Finding Nemo on Ice? How the hell did they manage that? Fish with legs?

Yeah, how WOULD you have ice-skating fish?? I figured it would be hard enough to have Randall, what with him having four legs and such, but FISH?!
Oh, by the way, "Disney on Ice's Monsters, Inc." is finally coming to South Carolina in early April, and several of the radio stations are really promoting it, with free tickets and such. There were passes put in several teachers' boxes at school, and probably at least one grade level will get to go see it. I hope I'll find out which one, so I can get to work on 'em in time to pre-set their minds about Randall before it's too late.

Finding Nemo on Ice was...interesting. They dressed the skaters in fish costumes, so that their heads were hidden as part of the body (but they could still see)...the fish heads were just so big that you never really noticed the peoples' heads. They were fish with legs, yes, but somehow it looked okay because they had fins too.... Some of the characters, like jellyfish and sharks, were just supported by sticks with people skating around under them. And they did this one scene with a sort of jellyfish mating ceremony... The most adult part of the show. It was rather strange. And my dad yapped at me afterward that he'd never be dragged through such a childish show again. ><
