On the extras disk of MI, they have a little part with Steve in it, with Steve talking about Randall. He says something along the lines of, 'he has no morals, no scruples, he's really evil at heart', but other sources suggest that he really related to Randall, and understood that he was very exhausted at the time of the movie, and that he understood why Randall acted the way he did.
So why did Steve say that in the interview? Was it just because everyone else was saying it, so to make things simple, he did? Or did he really believe it?

The Disney folks probably told him to say that, since he has, in other interviews, stated that he did NOT see Randall as even being "bad", but simply "VERY insecure".

Say Pitbulllady been meaning to ask... WHAT was that article that had Steve state that he actually WOULD NOT mind having Randall as a kid?
Yeah. Disney probably made him say that to keep up appearences. It was not what Steve believed.

I think that he was supposed to say what the other looked at him. Maybe he had a todal different opinnion.

He probably did, because I remember there being something about how Steve related so well to Randall and understood him that he tried his best to even sound tired, like Randall would've been, by going to ice hockey matches or something, and screaming as loud as he could throughout the entire thing just to wear his voice out. It probably was Disney instructing him to say all of the 'evil at heart' stuff.

Yes yes! He DID hurt his voice for Randall guys! I think it was at a Keys game I think...or some kind of baseball games, or any game anyway that he shouted out.

Actually it was a hockey game, not a baseball game, but yes, he did intentionally strain his voice and stay up late in order to get into the character and to give Randall's voice that stressed-out edge. pitbulllady

I don't know that Disney would have "made" him say those things, but keep in mind it could also be taken out of concept, he could have said something else afterwards or before, or perhaps was not directly asked to describe the way he percieved Randall. Editing...
I actually thing Mr Buscemi has a good point about Randall being just tired, insecure, and stressed out. I really think he brought that through in the character.

Yeah, they probably manipulated it to suit their needs.

I think SOD (sod?? ^_^) is ^_^ Editing out, cutting out parts of what they say probably happens often ^_^ But yep, manipulation.
