DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING! (LOOOOONG raspberries.....)
There is a Randall Boggs page on the 'Villains' Wiki that just rips Randall to shreds, UNMERCIFULLY. I mean, the page lists EVERY condemnation in the book:
-"Evil-doer". -"Randall is a sneaky, evil, obnoxious jerk"! -"Randall is the main evil Matsermind and he was secretly plotting to kill Waternoose all along"! -"For years, fans have speculated that Randall was not really evil, but this turns out not to be true." -"Randall shares many of the evil characteristics with some characters from the Disney show 'Recess' " (Yeah, like who gives a flip?) -"Randall is the leader and WATERNOOSE is the henchman"! (WHAT THE...) -"Randall gets arrested by the CDA after framing Mike and Sulley for some crime in a comic". -"Blah, blah, blah!" -"Randall this and Randall that!" -"Wah, wah-wah, wah, wah-wah, waah!" (Yes, I'm a "Peanuts" fan.)
WHOO... if I didn't know any better, I'd say IAN LUDLOW put that page together! Huh?
It's SICKENINGLY biased! Pitbulllady, have you read this page?! It's nothin' but B....S. It's disgustingly offensive... so much so, that this sentence cannot stay in one color!

The problem with a Wiki, is that the owner(who is probably a 10-year-old trolling kid) will only allow posts to remain that support what THEY say. If you or I or anyone else posts to the contrary, they will just remove it. TVTropes.org does the same thing. pitbulllady

But have you READ it?

Yes, I have, and there isn't even a place to leave comments. Most people know that Wiki's are not official, not canon, but are usually made by little kids. There is no way to even involve the owner of the Wiki in any sort of discussion, to even ask them HOW they arrived at some of their conclusions, which defy logic and common sense. pitbulllady

Think of some Wiki's as more-organized-looking tumblr accounts *snickers*
It's a villain's wiki, so naturally most (if not, all) entries will demonize every person in it (ok, yes, some might be actual demons, whether in what they do or...because they're ACTUALLY demons, what with the horns and tail and...ahem).
TvTropes, while it could do with a clarification here and there, has gotten better from it's start, giving Randall some respectable lee-way.

Think of some Wiki's as more-organized-looking tumblr accounts *snickers* It's a villain's wiki, so naturally most (if not, all) entries will demonize every person in it (ok, yes, some might be actual demons, whether in what they do or...because they're ACTUALLY demons, what with the horns and tail and...ahem). TvTropes, while it could do with a clarification here and there, has gotten better from it's start, giving Randall some respectable lee-way. HOW has TVTropes gotten better and given Randall any respectable lee-way? Here's an excerpt from the MU section: Evil Former Friend: Randall to Mike, who were room-mates together, only for Randall to abandon Mike once he started hanging out with the "cool kids". Still insisting that Randall "abandoned" poor widdle Mike, even though that was not the case. These are the ONLY things I saw in Randall's defense, AFTER accusing him of becoming "arrogant" once he joined ROR: Face-Heel Turn: Randall started as Mike's friend and room-mate, but ditched him for the "cool kids" after joining Roar Omega Roar. He even participates in a humiliating prank against Oozma Kappa and gets very arrogant. However, at the final event of the Scare Games, he goes up against Sullivan and Sulley accidentally shakes the ground, interfering with Randall's scare simulation, making his camouflage change to hearts. Roar Omega Roar isn't pleased and his resentfulness to Sullivan starts here.
Although in Randall's defense, he was genuinely friendly with Mike in the beginning and tried to convince him to go along with him to parties so they could both be more popular. Mike turned him down, however, so he could spend more time studying. Why not just come out and say that Mike REJECTED Randall's overtures of friendship? And this, both good and bad: Ungrateful Bastard: Perhaps not surprisingly, Randall slowly turns into one, ditching Mike for "the cool kids" and even joining in with the prank against Oozma Kappa. He even does a Slasher Smile. It might be understandable, though, considering that he was already signed up to join ROR before the Games signups even took place, and he had no way of knowing beforehand that Mike would need an extra team member. It's not even made clear that he wanted to cut ties with Mike at all.But then they follow that up with THIS gem: Freudian Excuse: The promotional material for the movie was almost perfectly geared towards giving one to Randall Boggs, as he seemed practically destined for a brutal Break the Cutie. However, this trope is averted. He may be nerdy and sweet this time around, but nothing awful happens to him at all, and his Face-Heel Turn is still his own doing. His humiliation in the final Scare Game hardly justifies his later actions. Really? And then THIS: I Just Want to Have Friends: Randall. Preferably if they're cool. From the "Wild Mass Guess" page: Confirmed. Randall was actually a {female dog} in Sheep's Clothing, as he mainly wanted to be with the "cool kids", even at the start of the movie. He was Wazowski's friend and study buddy, but once Mike joined Oozma Kappa and Randall joined ROR, he didn't want Wazowski to "blow his cover". His true Start of Darkness began when during the final event of the Scare Games, Sulley accidentally shakes his room and it results in Randall's invisibility taken away and the camouflage shows hearts instead, resulting in Randall not scoring that many points and Randall bitterly declaring that he and Sully were rivals. Actually, no he doesn't. He just says, "that's the last time I lose to YOU, Sullivan". Randall didn't even know that he and Sulley would ever MEET again. And all THIS is just from the MU entry, and I left out a lot of it; Randall REALLY is attacked in the MI entry. pitbulllady

Yeah, I've heard Randall referred to once as a 'wolf in sheep's clothing', which REALLY chaps my hide! I also get SO tired hearing all those accusations leveled at Randall about HIM being the ungrateful one, and dumping Mike for the 'cool kids'. There is no indication whatsoever that he wanted to sever his ties to Mike when he joined Roar Omega Roar. Also, that heel-face turn was NOT his own doing! Randall had his performance loused up ALL because of Sulley, who CHEATED to let Mike win, and Randall was simply unequipped to know how to deal with being humiliated and kicked out of ROR, and people say THAT was his own doing??? Sulley never even PROPERLY met Randall at all, so it obviously never dawned on him to realize that HE was responsible for Randall losing, as well as the terrible timing, as it cost Randall his respected position in ROR, and the circular argument goes on, and on, and on!
MIKE is the arrogant one... NOT Randall! When are people gonna get this story straightened out? Remember that "It's A Wonderful Life" parody thing I posted? Where would SULLEY be if it weren't for Randall? Huh? I think HE would have joined ROR, and HE would have been the oppressor instead of Johnny Worthington. Taking butterfly effects into account, if it weren't for Randall, I don't think Mike and Sulley would have even become friends AT ALL... because Randall's absence would have left one opening in ROR, so guess who would have gotten that??? SULLEY!
I'm sorry to hear that TV tropes puts down Randall too.
AGAIN..... this is another reason why it's good to see 'Monsters University' first, BEFORE you see 'Monsters, Inc.'. A LOT of these negativities stem from airheaded, drooling Monsters, Inc. geeks thinking 'Oooh, yeah, yeah! A BADDIE is born! I loooove bad-boy Randall!', so they practically INTERJECT their own pre-conceived notion of who and what Randall is... without examining all the facts, and all the clues.
