I was looking through my study books again. In the Essential Guide, I just poked around looking into sections I didn't throughly studied (I mostly sticked with Randall's heh) and came across something interesting.
I was going to mention it in Fear/Love. But I thought I would discuss it here.
It says here that Boo's left leg that near her foot there's a cut. I can't see it because it's on the bind. But I do see a red color on the other side of the rim. One of the describe lines does say "owie" though. Any ideas?
This had to be signifigant. Why else would Pixar put it in there? Why mention it? OH! For futher, it's before she got on the costume.

OH! For futher, it's before she got on the costume. Yeah, I was just looking through the Essential Guide recently and always wondered why they pointed it out. Pixar's not one for making details insignificant. Usually they put alot of thought into the details of everything, I mean, in the extras on the two-DVD set they even mentioned that they had an archetect come in and help them with every detail of the monsters' buildings. They had all those beams, seen in Mike and Sulley's room, to hold up to the weight of them and they buildings themselves are designed in a certain way that holds up to the kind of monsters that live in them (in some cases, big huge base and gets smaller towards the top). And the contents of their room also said alot about them, their interests, and etc. So, Pixar really doesn't overlook anything. Then again, kids fall down and get "owies" all the time. So, it might have been something as simple as the fact that Boo had an accident at Mike and Sulley's place. I have a little 3-year-old cousin who had an "owie" that looked similar to Boo's and she got it from falling on a bunch of rocks and scraping her leg. Or, it might be the result of some careless act by Mike and Sulley. If you don't "kid proof" your house or watch what you put in their reach, you're at risk of putting little children and babies in danger of hurting themselves. They don't really know any better, unless they've had a previous bad experience with it. Not to mention, Mike and Sulley know nothing about caring for kids anymore than Randall does. So, it entirely possible that it could have been their fault as well. As for any other senario. . .I really wouldn't think that Sulley would purposefully hurt her. Mike maybe did something stupid with her that would give her that "owie", but he was too terrified to even touch her, so that's a little less likely. So anyways, all theories aside, I don't actually know how Boo had gotten her owie.

It could be from something we didn't see. Something Disney didn't want to show us about the big good "hero". But then again..... Wouldn't she have stopped for a moment and looked at it or shed a tear? Perhaps it's something from her past perhaps..... Siginifigant yes.....there must be a purpose. Perhaps....a reptile's involved? ? Not our dear friend of course...

She probably had the Bandaid on before she ended up in the Monster World. Little kids fall down and get "owies" all the time-comes with the territory when you have been walking for a year or less! They make a big deal of it, too, so it takes something like a Bandaid to take their mind off it.

Perhaps.... But why make it significant?
Bandaid? What Bandaid?

The bandaid that could have covered the owie, maybe the bandaid fell off.

Just wondering what the significance was.

I also think it's just characteristic to have a 2 year old sporting an owie. Little guys fall down and bump themselves all the time, it's kind of a staple of that age.
