I blogged this on Tumblr but though I'd share it here, as well: www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/23631918/rescued-pit-bull-rescues-4-year-old-amid-blood-sugar-crashAll too often all we hear or read regarding "pit bulls" is something negative, usually involving a dog attack or bite or someone busted for fighting dogs. This is NOT because these dogs are more vicious or more involved in attacks than other dogs, but because those are the only dogs that the media will usually report on whenever something bad happens. Any biting dog becomes a "pit bull" when it's reported. It might have been a garden-variety mutt when it woke up that morning, but let it bite or growl or chase a cat, and it's suddenly, magically a "pit bull". There are countless real Pit Bull Terriers who do heroic things, who assist physically-challenged people, especially our wounded warriors, who comfort people, who simply provide companionship, who will never, ever make the headlines or be recognized by anyone other than their owners, so it's refreshing to see any news program have the courage to air something positive about these dogs for once, bucking that "if it bleeds, it leads" trend. Go Tatertot! pitbulllady
