Oh yeah Sullivan....then what were you doing on that treadmill earlier in the movie?
lol.
Just thought I'd post this....and it's not a spoiler considering that both of those scenes were in trailers for the movie.

That's a simple equation really...
Sullivan = College Jerk = ( (Overconfidence X 10) + (Ego X 5) )

That's a simple equation really... Sullivan = College Jerk = ( (Overconfidence X 10) + (Ego X 5) ) But it's pointed out at the end of the film that even though he admits he's a jerk, he was never actually confident. It was all a mask. I thought that was an interesting character moment for Sulley. Anyway I'm not out to defend the guy, just wanted to mention that. I wish Randall could've gotten that moment by the lake to talk with those two. It would have made a difference.

Which is, why in other posts, I've mentioned that in the end he turned out better. For the most part, he still makes mistakes, he made one BIG one.. Although he may do it time-to-time...it's unfortunate that Sullivan was unable to manage things with Randall later on. Randall was hiding behind his own jerkish nature because of his own scars, but it seems Sullivan, despite having gone through a similar ordeal, was unable (or unintentionally didn't) to do something about it. Of course that goes to show that Randall actually needed a true friend. Sullivan, though I believe it more out of guilt than concern (concern was growing at the time, not complete), risked his life to save Wazowski. That event turned him around.
Randall heh...well what those two did...it is very difficult to take any positive message they tried to give in MU seriously.
