hahaha, he sounds Australian in this video! I know he's not, but it sounds like he is saying "mate" instead of "Mike" lol

I dunno...might be other people's sound cards or whatever, but I am not hearing anything remotely Australian! It definitely sounds like he says "Mike" to me, and in a decidedly Midwestern accent. pitbulllady

Glad I'm not the only one... lol. And after you say it, his accent does remind me of Experiment 625. Randy does sound like he is speaking faster so maybe that's why it sounds different. If he wasn't as nervous the 'twang' would maybe sound more familiar because he would be able to drag it out. I think you hit on it pretty well there. He's nervous and excited here, in a good way, mostly, plus he's younger, and younger people do tend to speak faster. I'm sure that the sound effects people at Pixar tweaked the voice a bit to give a slightly higher pitch and faster tempo, much as they did with Jason Lee's voice as the young Buddy Pine in The Incredibles, so they wouldn't have to hire an additional voice actor. In MI, Randall is TIRED. He's at the point of exhaustion, and that shows in his voice. He lacks that youthful energy and enthusiasm that he shows in MU. pitbulllady
