im sure ive seen another dreams thread... somewhere on here but any ways, so last night my brain must have gone a bit nuts and i had multiple monster related dreams they were quite entertaining:
dinasaurs:
so for some reason all the monsters had gone back in time and were dinosaurs.... dont even ask. the only ones i remember are george sanderson was a triceratops thing mike was one of those little round dinosaurs with four legs and a club tail, sulley was a caveman/ape thing (actually pretty disturbing to see) fungus was a little rodenty type thing that hid the entire time ( i think everyone else was trying to eat him lol) and randall was a tyrannosaurus rex... he was definitely trying to eat everyone lol
company camping trip:
so basically waternoose decided that all the scareres and assistants needed to bond more... so he sent them all on a company camping trip to the country side lol sulley was well into it trying to show everyone all this neat stuff and mike and randall kept getting laughed at for being city boys and not being able to do anything. at one point mike fell in poison ivy or something and he went all puffy which was fuuny and then they all started arguing which i was trying to calm down like ' guys come on your supposed to be bonding!' and then someone pushes randall in a lake for some reason which everyone finds funny except sulley who had to give him his jacket which was way too big on him to, keep warm on the walk back to the tent lol
time travel thing:
this is possibly the weirdest one out of the lot; for some reason i was walking around this scaring convention with that blue guy Georges assistant and then all of a sudden every ones crowded this table with a crazy scientist showing us all this ray gun looking thing. his invention basically will be fired at kids who have gotten to old to scare and revers their age back to when they were younger... i think. any way, he walks of and gives us clear instructions DO NOT TOUCH AGE ALTERING GUN THINGY.... so obviously mike starts messing around with it which really PO's sulley. they have a fight and in the middle of the fight accidentally shoot the gun which hits randall turning him into this little kid lol from what i remember he was totally cute and goofy looking. unfortunately that's when i woke up lol
so ye. pretty weird dreams i dont know why they all came at once ive never realy had a dream about them before. ifact the only dreams i usually ever have are horrific nightmares so this was kind of a nice break from the usual death, murder, family tragedy etc

I've had some really strange MI/Randall-related dreams, most of which are like tv commercials or movie trailers, only one of which involved me. There are not necessarily in order, although the one listed first is probably the first dream I ever had with Randall in it, and it was of the "tv commercial" variety. 1. It starts out with a little boy in pajamas, about four years old, coming downstairs in the middle of the night and going into the kitchen, popping a bag of popcorn, pouring it into a big bowl, then putting the bowl on a tray with some cookies and a can of beer from the fridge. He starts to open the door to the outside, carrying the tray, when his dad comes downstairs and stops him, asking him what he's up to in the middle of the night. The kid casually replies that he's taking the food and beer to a monster. Dad says, "a MONSTER? Really, now what makes you think that there's a monster outside?" Kid again replies, very seriously, "he lives in our mini van". Dad laughs, and says, "In the mini van, huh? Now we've been over this son, and I thought we agreed that there's no such thing as monsters. Anyway, I'm sure that if there WAS, monsters don't eat popcorn and cookies or drink beer!" Kid responds, "this one does". Dad then says something to the effect of "OK, how 'bout you showing me this 'monster' that lives in our mini van?" You can tell the dad is wanting to show up this little kid and prove there's no monster. Kid is reluctant at first, saying that the monster is scared of grown-ups, earning an eye-roll from Dad, but Dad insists and he relents and they both start outside to the mini van parked in the driveway. As they approach, Dad starts to whisper something about "see, no monsters", when the van's sliding side door opens to reveal Randall, who starts to say to the kid, "What took you so long? I..." he trails off as he sees the father, who is standing there flabbergasted, and Randall turns invisible and you can hear his footsteps going across the lawn as the little kid says, "see, I TOLD you there was a monster!" The announcer voice comes in to tout the wonders of this particular model of mini van, making it into a commericial. 2. Second(?) dream, also like a commercial, maybe for a sequel? Anyway, starts out with Boo, now about five years old or so, wearing little kid overalls, sprawled out on the floor drawing or coloring, humming some little tune. Mike walks in through a door, and says, "Oh, hi, Boo, whatcha doin' there?" Boo replies that she's drawing a picture of Randall, and it's all done, so she hands the "picture" to Mike. There is nothing on the paper. Mike frowns, turns the paper this way and that, holds it up the light, flips it over, keeps giving Boo these suspicious looks out the corner of his eye like maybe she needs to go to bed earlier or something, and finally says, "Boo, there's nothing here! It's just an empty sheet of paper!" Boo insists, saying, "yes there IS! He's right THERE!" Mike gets kinda impatient and says, "but I can't SEE anything!" Boo explains, "Silly, that's 'cuzz he's IN-DIVISIBLE!" Before Mike can respond, Randall suddenly "materialized" right behind him, saying, "Yeah, Wazowski! Who died and made YOU the art critic, anyways?", causing Mike to scream and fall over backwards like he does in the locker room and causing Boo to start laughing hysterically. NO lights flashing, so apparently this was in the Human World, though. 3. One of two "Randall-Shedding-Skin" dreams, both pretty funny. Three people(humans)sitting at a breakfast table, one older woman(a grandmother?), one woman with long dark hair and apparently Boo, now about 8 years or so, having casual breakfast table morning conversation, when suddenly all three just stop and stare, jaws dropping, at something, as if in shock. View "pans" around to see Randall, entering through kitchen door, a newspaper tucked under one arm and a cup of coffee in one hand. He's got huge sheets of whitish skin peeling up off of him, off his face, everywhere, just like a lizard would look while shedding, like this guy: johnheidecker.smugmug.com/Reptiles/reptiles/i-q7zVvjf/0/L/anole%20lizard%20shedding-a%20_DSC1528-L.jpg only with more skin peeling around his face and eyelids. He comes in and takes a seat at the table, opens up the paper while reaching for some toast, apparently because he was LIVING there, and then notices the three ladies staring at him. He says, "What? You act like you've never seen a guy shedding his skin before!" 4. This one starts with that same woman from the other dream, who might have been Boo's mother(?), sitting at a dresser, brushing her hair. She's wearing a flimsy "nighty" like she is getting ready for bed. Randall's voice can be heard from behind her, pleading, "aw, come ON! I don't see why it's such a big deal! If you really cared about me(sounding really "pitiful"), you'd do it." Woman responds, "Well, I'm NOT! It's....gross! It's....DEMEANING!" Can see Randall's finger tracing along her bare shoulder suggestively, and hear him still pleading, "but most chicks do this for their guys...(pauses)I'd do it for YOU(seductively)!" It was REALLY sounding like they were debating a certain uhm, intimate behavior. The woman gives this exasperated sigh, and turns around...now can see Randall standing there with "puppy dog eyes", STILL shedding, big sheets of skin hanging off of him everywhere, and the woman says, "for the last TIME, Randall, I am NOT going to help peel dead skin off you! That is just so...EEEWWW!" 5. This one got really weird! It was like a movie, complete with a soundtrack that got creepy at times making me think something scary was about to happen. Randall and this dark-haired woman who didn't seem to the be the same one from the previous dreams(looked more Latino) had apparently bought this old house in Louisiana and were getting it ready to move in; it was a bit of a "fixer-upper". They kept mentioning that old lady who'd owned it was in a nursing home. Randall was not happy with the pink and mauve paisley wall paper in the master bedroom, lol, saying that it "just screamed 'little old lady'", which it DID, and in one scene was trying to remove it with a heat gun(looks like hair dryer, much hotter, though) and accidentally caught the curtains on fire, lol. Had to beat them out with some old coat or something. Next scene is the two of them in a sleeping bag on the floor of that same room(charred curtains can be seen in background, lol), talking about how their stuff was supposed to have arrived but got delayed, how Randall had nearly burned down the house before they got a chance to move in, how that wall paper HAD to go(Randall's words), and they are starting to get a bit "snuggly" when there's a thump from upstairs that interrupts them, and my mind immediately thinks, "ah, this is gonna be a ghost story movie". Randall shrugs it off as the house "settling" or a raccoon in the attic and says he'll look into it in the morning, and the scene fades. Next seen is of the Randall unpacking dishes and stuff in the kitchen(apparently the truck with their belongings did finally arrive) and he hears a sound behind him in another room, just a sort of rustling sound. He briefly stops putting up dishes in the cabinet to take a look, sees nothing, and goes back to unpacking. Briefly we see the next room over his shoulder and there's a fleeting glimpse of a woman with dark hair moving past the door. He sees it out the corner of his eye, and apparently thinks it's his girlfriend, and walks to that room to speak to her, saying, "you're back already? Did you get the_?" There's no one in the room but him. He looks puzzled, then shrugs and goes back to the box of dishes and stuff, and hears a vehicle pull up outside. Looking out the kitchen window, he sees his girlfriend getting out of her Jeep Cherokee, obviously having just arrived, so he glances back at the other room where he "thought" he just saw a woman with dark hair pass by the doorway, looking puzzled. Next scene cuts to them sitting around at night on throw pillows(apparently the bed or sofa didn't arrive with the dishes), eating Chinese food from those little white plastic cartons with chopsticks(Randall is obviously having trouble with this as chopsticks aren't meant to be used by someone with three fingers and he actually says this), and he has apparently mentioned the odd occurrence while unpacking dishes, and the woman is insisting that they have a ghost, and a bit of a debate ensues, with Randall insisting that there's a logical explanation for all this stuff happening and stating that he doesn't believe in ghosts or aliens or stuff like that, and the dream ends with the woman laughing and saying, "you know what's really weird? I'm actually sitting here arguing with a MONSTER about whether ghosts are real or not!" I think I remember at some point she used the argument that "10 years ago, if anyone had told me monsters were real, I'd have laughed at them, too". 6. This is the only one with me in it, and it was REALLY strange. I was friends in this dream with this woman who was one of those Animal Rights people, and THAT was strange enough. She had these two rescue dogs, both mutts, neither of them trained at all, and insisted that all dogs be spayed/neutered, people should only get rescue/shelter dogs, etc, very different from my beliefs. Anyway, we were going to visit with Randall, who lived in this brick house on a corner in some little town "catty corner" across from a movie theater, with a river behind his house, so this woman and I took a motor boat to reach his house, rather than a car. When we got there we had to climb up the bank of the river because of a drought dropping the water level, and there was all this litter in his front yard. Once he let us in the woman said something about all the trash and he started complaining that patrons of the theater would through their popcorn bags and soda cups and candy wrappers in his yard when they left the theater and he was sick of having to clean up after them. We were apparently supposed to be going to some sort of festival. When the three of us got there, we wound up sitting with this older couple and talking about classic cars and horses, for some reason, and I never did get to see exactly what the festival was about since it was just everyone sitting around in lawn chairs at night, like we were waiting on something to happen, but it never did. We go back to the woman's house and once inside she finds a big yellow puddle on the floor(in some parts of my dream she took the two dogs with her, and they were pulling on their leashes and barking at everybody, and in other parts she left them at home, so apparently one of them peed on the floor, as they were just badly-behaved dogs), and the woman says, "Oh, my, looks like SOMEBODY had an accident on the floor". Randall jokingly responds, holding his hands up in the air, "it wasn't ME! I might have done a lot of things, but peeing on the floor isn't one of 'em...well, except for that ONE time college, but that totally WASN'T my fault!" Then he and I go back to his place without the woman or the dogs and are starting to get a little cozy ourselves in a hallway when I woke up... 7. The last dream I had was definitely set in MU days, with everyone in the movie in college. Mike, Sulley and some random unnamed monsters are exploring an old "haunted house"(more ghost themes) on a dare, like college kids will do, and they're in this one room with all those old dusty, cobwebby chairs and stuff, with flashlights, and Sulley is trying to "spook" Mike, who isn't buying it. Suddenly, this one chair starts to slowly levitate, rising about four feet off the floor and just sorta hanging in mid-air, with no one near it, prompting gasps of shock from most of the other monsters. Mike is not impressed. He calls out in the direction of the floating chair, "cut it OUT, Randall! We all know it's YOU! You're not EVEN scary!" Right after he says that, Randall himself comes walking in through a door, followed by two other random monsters, saying, "cut WHAT out?" Randall sees the levitating chair and is amazed; he runs over to it and starts totally "geeking out", running his hands underneath it(as if feeling for wires or something that might be supporting it), and going on about how this could be some sort of "geomagnetic anomaly" or a "reverse gravitational vortex", and all the while the other monsters are totally freaked out and start making their way OUT the door, leaving Randall with his theories as to how that chair is DOING THAT, and then Sulley comes running back in and grabs him by the arm and hauls him out, protesting about how he needs to research this and do some tests, etc. I had that dream before I found out that Randall was called "Randy" in college or before I knew he and Mike were roommates or how Mike and Sulley met, incidentally. pitbulllady

I also had a MI related dream that I thought I might as well put up here. Sulley, Mike and Randall (I've forgotten whether Celia was there or not) were sat having coffee in a Starbucks type place in a shopping centre in the human world (a few people were giving them funny looks but no one seemed particularly bothered by the sight of a group of monsters). When a woman in a business suit, who they'd been waiting for, walked past Randall turned invisible and ran along the ceiling to follow her. He followed her into a department store and when she went up the main stairs Randall went up a little back passage behind the stairs. He arrived in a small attic where there was a girl of about 12. The woman arrived in an adjacent room. Then I'm not sure whether Randall and the girl were spying on the woman, or passing information on to her, or if the girl was passing information to the woman and Randall was spying on them both. That's all that happened.

Okay I FINALLY had a Randall-related dream a few nights ago! Sadly it wasnt as vivid and I didnt see or remember a whole lot. Though the parts I DO remember are: Me fangirling all over Tumblr and going bonkers even more than I did when MU was announced! X'D Sulley patting Randall on the back at one point. (Aww ) And Randall was apologizing and had a "Heel Face Turn"! (Yay!!) There was also a girl with dark hair in a ponytail and wore a pink T-shirt. I'm pretty sure it was Boo/Mary, although this girl looked WAAAY older. (She was like at MU Randy's height) I also remember that Mike, Sulley, Randall, and (presumably) Teenage!Boo were in a very strange setting. It definitely wasn't MI. Though it did appear to be some kind of Factory. In this particular factory, it was filled with HUMANS! O.O And Mike was terrified out of his mind! X'D The most interesting (and very mysterious) part of all though is that they all appeared to be trying to escape from something.... Unfortunately, I never found out what they were trying to escape from since I woke up right after that! >_< (Although it DID give me quite the idea for a future fanfiction! One where Mike, Sulley, and Randall are stuck in the human world on a chase being hunted down by human scientists who want to experiment on them! And by "Experiment", I dont mean collecting DNA samples either...... I mean something more along the lines of DISECTION!) Lol.... This could've also fit right in with the scrapped MI sequel! XD) I just thought that I should share this because it's often VERY VERY RARE that I have Dreams that I can remember, let alone dreams about my favorite characters! Also the dreams that I can actually remember tend to be somewhat premonitionary.... So I do hope that in this case it turns out my dreams arent lying to me... Sounds like a good plot for a movie to me! Maybe that "factory" was really a top-secret sinister government lab somewhere, like "The Shop", which figures in some of Steven King's books. Winding up in some place like that would certainly be a major risk faced by monsters caught by humans, to be sure. It would almost certainly be a reality if humans discovered how to access the Monster World, too, at least at first until there is mutual acknowledgement on both sides that both count as PEOPLE. That is not going to be easy for either humans or for monsters to accept, though, especially not for us, given that many humans still have issues with accepting other HUMANS. I've said it before; it will probably take something like this, a mutual threat to all of them and perhaps to the entire Monster World, to get Randall and Mike and Sulley to all forget their differences and work together for a common goal of survival, and in turn, finally being able to find out things about each other that they never knew. pitbulllady

I have this head-canon that Randall started using his real first name after MU, when he wanted people to think he was a tough, scary monster. Maybe the ROR's started calling him that, admonishing him that "Randy" was a little kiddie name(as if "Johnny", "Reggie" or "Chip" are really tough, menacing-sounding monikers-guess "Reggie" isn't as non-scary as "Reginald", though) and he needed to stop using that if he wanted respect as a Scarer or as any other worker. When Randall finally is able to overcome that need to appear as tough and scary, though, when he finally starts to forgive and BE forgiven and move in the right direction of making friends, he'll start using "Randy" once again, as he did in MU, a symbol of him having come full-circle back to his real self.
