Nope, in the trailer Sulley introduces himself to Mike as "James P. Sullivan". pitbulllady but they say his dads name was Phil. i mean i guess it could be something else i just assumed the 'P' would be his fathers name like it is with most peoples middle names. No, they say his dad's name is BILL, as in "William". It's in the novelization, too. pitbulllady

*nods* I mean...the gas thing is tame. Least they didn't portray him as slashing the tires or...wrecking the float...or even (for disaster's sake), cutting the breaks. But the mirrors...getting scared? No that's...that's not right. *shrugs* James P. Sullivan is referred to as "Jimmy" in the novelization (get to reading that yet? Spoilers galore). Toss a grain of sand, they're going to foul up with names. The dark one? Yes hehehe, that's good. I'm familiar with cats too, they can be VERY perceptive at night. Have them in one room, turn the light on in the next, and they'd start meowing because they KNOW your there. (For those part siameze) I wonder if Sullivan will refer to himself as "Jimmy" in the movie. Kinda ironic that my LEAST favorite NASCAR driver is Jimmy Johnson, whom I've often referred to as the "James P. Sullivan of NASCAR", since the guy who owns his race team is partnered with the guy who owns NASCAR, period, as well as Charlotte Motor Speedway...and Johnson has been Champion for five out of the last seven years and is in the lead in championship points again this year. And then THIS happened: Yeah, it's real, and yeah, that's Jimmy Johnson's car. Tony Stewart needs to totally put Randall on his No. 14, Underdogs of the Year, Hoosier Bro's through and through. But here is the "dark" pic, to which RB is referring; now y'all TELL me this ain't bada$$! Reminds me of that pic I did a few years back of Randall entering a child's room via the closet door, with the light reflecting in his eyes, though I really wasn't sure if Randall's eyes could do that or not. Guess I know now that they can! Behold! pitbulllady *SPOILER* This picture of Randall is actually during his first appearance in the movie, right after Mike opens the door to his room for the first time, you see Randy's dark figure here right before he lunges towards Mike and introduces himself, stepping into the light in the process, revealing that he's actually all adorable and what not. lol Notice how you can see his glasses in this pic.

Oh my goodness, seriously? That is actually amazing- what a wonderfully symbolic way of introducing Randall! The foreshadowing there is just...I just love that. I mean, showing him go from the darkness and shadows into the light, with the fact that he goes back into the shadows, so to speak...Yeah, I really love that. Also, that picture is gorgeous. He looks amazing.

Well is THAT ironic or what? Minty told me that Jimmy can be sorta nickname to James...but...like with the nephew thing, hopefully people won't confuse it as canon. His real name is James Peter Sullivan. And yes...I was going to pair this with the cupcakes bit. ====== ...That's...kind of a double sentence there Minty, unsure what you mean. Considering a story in the book does have Randall being blamed for pranks, and ended with "Randall wasn't back", he's proposed, in this storybook, to still be gone. Considering his social lack...taking care of a kid at that state in his life is......he's not the best choice by far. *rubs temple* In terms of time, this would occur between the point of Randall losing his Top Scare position to Sullivan. He'd lost his recognition/attention. At first it was easy, then slowly grew. The mirrors were obviously a show from DISNEY to show him being vain. As we know, he's not though. Sorry that I confused you. I wondered if some of my post might sound confusing. It was kind of hard to word it. I just meant that him not being in the later MI stories doesn't really mean anything if he wasn't in the MU ones either. We know he was around in MU and yet he's not in those stories....so him not being in the later MI ones doesn't mean he isn't back. Although I do highly doubt he's back, sadly. And if he were back....I don't really think Pixar would want to let us know that via some book that a lot of fans might not even end up reading. They'd probably want to show that in an actual movie. And yeah, I know Jimmy is a fairly common nickname for guys named James due to the fact that my boyfriend is named James and people have tried to refer to my boyfriend as "Jimmy" or "Jim" although my boyfriend tells them not to do so because his father's name is also James and people tend to call his father "Jim" or "Jimmy". It gets confusing and my boyfriend sometimes wishes he had a different name than his father. His father gave him the same name because his father is apparently rather arrogant and wants his son to be just like him...or so that is what my boyfriend told me about his father before. I'm actually a bit afraid of my boyfriend's father and have never wanted to meet him. He's been in a lot of trouble with the law(my boyfriend's father). I know, right? I saw that pic and was like, "holy CRAP that's hot!" I'm sure it's meant to be some sort of foreshadowing about how he turns out later, but it really is an awesome pic! That whole reflecting eyes thing is a great touch! Even with the glasses on this still has the potential to be quite scary to someone who doesn't know what a sweetheart he really is. In fact, the Essential Guide specifically mentions Randy's appearance here as "giving out a falsely sinister first impression". There is nothing but cute and positive things about him in this particular book. pitbulllady Yeah....it's really a hot pic and I think it's sexy that his eyes do that. Really makes it even more interesting to think about doing things with him in the dark. LOL.

Ah, though in this book (I still don't consider it canon. It's like the BOOM! comics, but not as bad as THOSE were...), there IS a later story where somebody is pulling pranks on Wazowski. Soon they get to the point that Wazowski thinks RANDALL is doing it, that he's back, and a discussion with Sullivan has him saying "you really think Randall has returned?" In the end, turns out it wasn't Randall and they say "Randall isn't really back". This story taking place while Sullivan is CEO in terms of time.
