Ok this doesn't PROPERLY come off as Fan Art as it's JUST an edit...I might move it into a topic somewhere but.... I was trying to figure out how to express feelings toward Ran in his over-the-top-but-necessary look. And I think I found it. I just needed to find the right reference, find the right spelling, and I got it! If you get the reference, you get a cookie. But for those who don't know, Punim is yiddish word for face, or more specifically a cute face ^_^

I'm not sure if it IS a reference, but I HAVE heard both Adam Sandler and Billy Crystal use that word in their comedy routines. Billy Crystal has a routine about a kid nicknamed "Punim" or "Face", explaining that this was a common Jewish nickname for really cute kids who could get by with anything because they were too cute for adults to punish.

I was just trying to reply with a reference too, haha ;D Coincidentally, I saw The Spy Who Shagged me last Friday, and the word "punim" caught my attention ;D

Ok, just decided to put this here instead of a new topic. Just saw this image of Randall and...honestly, I understood the guy's feelings. They had to, unfortunately, "rush it" as it were to show that line about Sullivan...but I think since Randall saw and heard Johnny, he had the feeling barrage boil up. This is a more opposite thing about perfect words...but I guess the lines are better at expressing a few of the several things going through Randall's mind at the moment. Yes, anger is one of them (rightfully so), but not the only one.

Let me suggest one change, though, in an otherwise excellent poster. The word "rumination" is misused. Literally speaking, "rumination" means "the act of ruminating, which in even-toed hoofed animals with four stomachs, means repeatedly regurgitating, re-chewing, and swallowing mouthfuls of grass or other plant material, known as "cud". When cows are just lying around calmly chilling out and chewing their cud, which is partially-digested plant material that they just vomited up, they are said to be "ruminating", because the four stomachs of a cow or similar animal are scientifically referred to as "rumens", and animals that have four rumens are called "ruminants". When we say that PEOPLE are ruminating, that means that they're just sorta lounging around, not really doing anything in particular, just chilling out, while calmly reflecting on something. The word implies a very relaxed and peaceful state of mind...something that Randall definitely did NOT have here or following this scene! I think the word you need is "RUINATION", the state of being ruined or destroyed.

I KNEW IT...I was looking for a right word that's the sum of overwhelming negative emotions and saw rumination at a glance and it SEEMED to be the one to go for. *blinks* Actually I saw that under emotion 0_0 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumination_%28psychology%29Ruination was the thought too.
