Just wondering because sometimes I do.
I don't play on MOST things there though....I only still like to go on swings(and usually only ones that are long enough(like the bars go up high enough, making the swing long and tall)...otherwise they aren't really fun enough for an adult person).
Whenever a bunch of kids comes over while I'm there and start playing on them though, I will leave because it makes me feel out of place when kids are around and want to use them. Besides they are more meant for the kids anyway.
My boyfriend has taken a few interesting pictures of me on swings.....they are just interesting because you get some funny/interesting angles and poses that you wouldn't otherwise ever really get in pictures. We always make sure to never end up getting any kids in our pictures though...like we stop taking them when kids come by because obviously we're not trying to take pictures of people's kids. We don't want to freak anyone out thinking we are taking pics of their kids so we stop whenever kids are around and we leave.
My boyfriend and I are rather artistic-natured though in some ways so that's why we take a lot of pictures and try to capture interesting angles and what not. We took so many pictures while he was here of various locations and what not.

We don't have playgrounds around here other than those at schools, and you have to work there to be there, either that or be a student. Only elementary grades even still have playgrounds, and a lot of those don't anymore.

Hell yeah!! I'm in Italy at the moment (though it's tipping down with rain much of the time) and while we were out in Tolentino hunting for interesting churches, we went past this little playground - all see-saws and those weird frogs on springs with psychotic grins. Anyway, I was just like, "Oh, you go on. I just want to check something out, won't be long," and as soon as they were out of sight I was in there! It was cool...like revisiting a slice of my childhood. Although, after I'd been swinging (and doing that thing where you see how high you can get without going over the rail) I noticed this small group of Italian children who had gathered nearby and were just standing there watching me like this: Sort of, "Are you crazy?! You're WAY too old for this! Let someone else have a turn!" Well, they were kind of right, I guess. :/ I know what you mean about the photography thing though. My all-time favourite photo of my friend is of her swinging up into the sunset with her plaits flying, like something out of Pippi Longstocking. You never really stop being a kid, I guess...all that happens is that you get embarrassed about doing kiddie things. But you'll never be too old for the ice-cream van. At least, I won't... Oh. Just me?

That's rather unfortunate, especially since I thought people were trying to get kids to get more exercise and play outside more. Anyway I don't tend to go onto school properties to go onto swings(the only thing I still go on is swings usually)....I generally just go to the ones that are in parks and most of them don't have those really long swings that I like. There is only really one playground that I actually tend to go on, and I went there when I was a kid too....same swings that were there when I was a small kid. Hell yeah!! Just me? Well if they think you are too old for it....I'm over 10 years older than you...I just turned 28 in July. LOL. I have some pics that were taken earlier this summer of me at the playground...lol...here is one of them:
