I first saw this snake on the news a few months ago. I thought I would post about it, not sure if everyone has seen it: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2040685/Worlds-largest-snake-Medusa-25-feet-long-300-lbs-takes-15-people-hold.htmlConsidering that it can eat 100 pounds at once....that means it couldn't just kill me, it could truly eat me. I'm very long and thin and only about 100 pounds so I would certainly be easy for a snake like this to consume(it's big enough to kill anyone I would say but in my case not just kill me but eat me too). It's beautiful but I would keep my distance from this one. XD

I liked the keeper's comments putting the danger risk of having a large constrictor into real perspective, when he stated that every single day hundreds of people lose their lives in car crashes, and yet few of us feel any fear when we put the keys in the ignition and pull out onto the highway. And YET, read the comments under the article; most of them still harp on how terrible and dangerous this animal is. One of them failed to even notice that the snake is in a ZOO and kept insisting that the owner "needed to move out of his parents' basement" and take the snake(which was domestically bred)back where it belongs. Goes to show how stupid people are when it comes to snakes.

Getting in a car is something a lot of people have to do though....despite that it's dangerous....a lot of people have to do it to get on with their lives. Most people don't have to get close to a lion or a snake to live their lives. Anyway, I don't think the snake is that dangerous either although I wouldn't personally go too close to it since it is way bigger than me. There are a lot of things I don't get close to if they can potentially kill me(like venomous snakes too but also lions and tigers and all of those things). I just respect them and give them space but I still like the animals and wish people wouldn't hate on animals like snakes so much. And there are people who are paranoid to the extreme about them. I just think respecting them is the best approach, therefore caring about the animal but also giving it space and realizing that it is a powerful animal and taking safety into account. Granted if I ever do get killed by some venomous snake or a shark or whatever, I wouldn't want the animal killed. It is not it's fault. I don't think it's evil or anything. A lot of people blame the animals but I don't think it's ever the fault of the animal.
