Sometimes I do feel a bit weird that it's pretty much just me sometimes posting pictures here.....although when you cosplay....more pictures of you just EXIST(and end up all over the internet anyway due to tons of people taking pics at these places and posting them everywhere)....not to mention when you work hard on a costume you want people to see it...and it's fun to be a character that you love. I simply adore this character so I love posting pics. Anyway this is a NEW photo only taken this weekend on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the convention I went to! I'm the girl with the green wig on of course. 25.media.tumblr.com/67353c90fde671d5de1be1982112d7c9/tumblr_mifnhzjWnb1rofdseo7_1280.jpgEDIT: Re-hosting pics on a different site.

I really like that photo of you and your boyfriend, mintygreen- you look lovely together. ;D In fact, all of your photos are lovely! Your cosplay costumes are very cool, and I'm very jealous of your hair- I'm getting a Merida from Brave vibe, haha. Thanks for sharing these photos with us! This is me with a couple of friends at a glow party at the end of the summer. Me showing off my awfully fat tongue whilst out having a few drinks with friends before Christmas. And a final photo which I can't resist including (especially as it's Christmas day), not of me but of the place I consider home, my university, on a lovely snowy day.

Hey cool! I'm glad someone else here decided to post some pictures....I was starting to feel weird for being the only one...even though it's not like I flooded this place with pictures since I only posted some once every few months. LOL.
Anyway, you are really pretty!
And your university is really beautiful. I'm not in schooling now anymore...although my sister still is.
I'm 28 now, trying to get a stable job, although unfortunately I have a degree in the hospitality and tourism industry which is more on the downturn these days due to the recession(not as many people travel during a recession) and I also learned over time that I don't feel I am really cut out for that kind of industry. I'm one of those people who has found it very hard to really find where I belong so to speak when it comes to a career.
So I might actually have to go back to schooling again at some point, if it doesn't work out....but I'm really trying to find some kind of stable office job.
Anyway, thanks! I actually don't do a lot of cosplay...which is why most of my pictures are of me as the same character. His costume was not that hard or complicated. The most complicated part was the hair. There are a lot of cosplayers out there who have done way more elaborate costumes. I'm not sure when/if I will do another character.
And thanks for the compliment on my hair although your hair is just as pretty I think! I think the difference is just that my hair is rarer/more unusual which is why a lot of people compliment me on my hair. It's just not very common. I'm not actually sure why it's curly though because as a child my hair was actually not curly! Although it is definitely not fake at all. I'm not sure why it became curly. lol. Other people have mentioned my hair in reference to Merida too although mine is blonde instead of red. My mother is a redhead though and in certain lighting, my hair does look red(I think there is a red tint in it due to my mom) but essentially, it's blonde.

Oh by the way since you thought that picture of my boyfriend and I was cute....here is another one....although this one really is very sappy. XD LOL. 24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_me36ar3JyV1rofdseo1_1280.jpgHaha. XD He's a few years younger than me. A lot of people think he looks similar to Loki from the recent films Thor and The Avengers. I can see it....if he slicks his hair back even more and grows it longer. XD It would be cool if he cosplays Loki at some point, although I'm not sure if he will....I can only try to get him to do it at some point. LOL.

Aw, there's nothing wrong with sappy- and that is a VERY cute photo! Your boyfriend is looking at you with so much love.
And oh my goodness, I can definitely see the Loki-likeness...As a massive Loki fan, if he ever does do the Loki cosplay, you MUST post photos!
And thank you. Hm, I know what you mean about not finding your 'niche', so to speak...I chose to study psychology at university quite at a whim, and was very lucky to discover that I loved it and now want to study it forever, haha, so I'm in the process of applying for PhD courses at the moment. Looks like I'll be in schooling for a long time yet.
I'm sure you'll find something that suits you in time, though. You never know what might come up!
As for your hair, I think it's the amazing volume and curliness that really reminds me of Merida, haha. My hair really hasn't changed since I was a child- it's cool that yours is different from when you were little! Funny how that happens sometimes.

Awww thanks. ^^ Yeah I'll try to remember to post some pics if he ever cosplays Loki....right now I just don't think he feels like putting in the time or money into it as he's not really spending much on un-needed things at this time. Maybe eventually he will. I suggested he could do the suit outfit that he wears at some points instead of the other outfit which is more complicated. He said that would feel like a 'cop out' though so I don't know. LOL. I didn't even know anything about Loki until recently....I was way behind most people on seeing those movies. So when people would tell me that my boyfriend looks like Loki, I didn't really know anything about the character or what they were really talking about. LOL. At least I do now....and yeah, the character is awesome! He's one of those villains that you can feel bad for really. Anyway, psychology is interesting, although I don't feel like I'm enough of a people person for it. Offline I'm actually fairly introverted and keep to myself a lot. I did a 6 month co-op in human resources once in a large hotel....and man there was so much drama. There were only 3 of us in the human resources department and we would deal with all the things like training new employees - I helped train them once I knew enough myself to help do that....and I also took a lot of employee complaints although anything serious had to be dealt with by one of the 2 official HR people. A lot of crazy things happened over the 6 months I was there though....like the bathroom above our office flooded and so a lot of files in our offices got contaminated. I had to photocopy them all - 9 huge binders worth. And since it was all confidential info like all the employee locker numbers and codes and also all their special certificates and all that.....I had to guard them while photocopy, not let other employees see them, and then I would have to shred the old stuff after I photocopied new ones. It was a tedious process. Some of the employees were really impressed seeing me work so hard though doing that nasty job(I had to wear protective gloves since there was pee on those sheets of paper....) We also had to move our office while I was there and one of my bosses resigned and we hired a new one and yeah it was pretty crazy. We also had to take down a lot of accident reports(accidents happen often enough in hotels - sometimes people working in the kitchens would accidentally burn themselves, etc). Some of the male employees also tried to flirt with me which was just really awkward....I remember one of them made me feel really uncomfortable at one point when I was in the office by myself as I watched the office and took phone calls while my boss was having her lunch break and I was worried that the head boss of our little department who's room was across the hall would overhear him which actually would have just made me even more embarrassed. Because he was making sounds like we were doing stuff at one point and it really worried me that the head boss might think I was actually engaging in things with him in the office. That would have been bad. And it was just highly embarrassing. And I was in a weird position because I had been warned when first starting there that some employees might try to get info out of me because I knew a lot of secrets due to being in HR. It's just as well that I'm not very social offline though, it was easy for me to avoid that. Essentially it was pretty crazy though. LOL. Maybe it's that crazy at a lot of workplaces though.... Anyway....about my hair....you know how I discovered that it's now curly? lol....well as a young teen I started blow drying my hair dry every time after I washed it. So I actually didn't find out it had become curly over the years until shortly before my 24th birthday I got really really sick to the point where I was too weak to blow dry my hair anymore. I was lucky I was even strong enough to get it washed. I was just really sick. So my hair just air dried and everyone was surprised how curly it was. So sometime while I was a teen it probably became curly but I just didn't know because I would always blow dry it when it was wet. Now I grew my hair long and I just let it air dry. I don't do anything to it anymore aside from washing it and combing it while it's still wet.

I just like how Loki goes a little bit crazy, haha. Also, Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays Loki, is SUCH A BABE OH MY GOODNESS. Haha.
I love psychology, although ironically, although I really am a people-person, I hate all of the 'people' stuff in psychology- I know that sounds a bit counter-intuitive, but I prefer the neuroscience side of things, and I'm hoping to specialise in cognitive neuroscience for postgrad. Social psychology is too subjective for my liking. At least with neuro, you can come to a conclusion about something and be pretty sure about it.
Wow, that sounds like you had quite a crazy job! Well done for persevering with it for so long! I've had a few jobs and although the odd strange or funny thing has happened, I've never quite experienced anything like that! And you're right, sometimes keeping to yourself at work has its benefits. I know I've been in trouble in the past for trying to be everyone's best friend, which doesn't always end well.
Haha, that's amazing! I know what you mean though- if I want my hair to be wavier than usual, I'll let it dry naturally, though often I'm in a rush and need to use the hairdryer. It's better that you let it air dry anyway, since the heat from hairdrying can really damage your hair, so no wonder yours is in such good condition!

It's better that you let it air dry anyway, since the heat from hairdrying can really damage your hair, so no wonder yours is in such good condition! I was actually surprised when I looked up Tom Hiddleston and found out that his natural hair is actually blonde and curly like mine. LOL. I just think it's funny because what are the chances? It's pretty rare hair. LOL. Only one of my actual biological relatives(my sister) has hair like that. No one else I'm related to does. So I just thought it was funny/random that he has that hair. Anyway, I did actually take 1 or 2 psychology classes in the past and I did find it interesting. I just like trying to figure out why people do the things they do, even though I'm definitely not a people person. I'm pretty shy in person, at least until I get to know a few people really well....then I can open up more. I think I'm a little reserved about people because I got picked on a lot over the years as a kid and a teen since I look a little different(birthmark on my face) and being thinner than pretty much everyone didn't always rub off the best either to some people. The fashion world might like really skinny people but I don't feel like that's really the case with general people in society. Even with guys who say they like thin women...I don't think most of them are talking about someone like me....I think they are talking about someone who's a couple sizes bigger than me still, not someone who is stick thin. I don't mind being super skinny though at all. I am completely happy with myself, which is why I don't hide my birthmark with make-up anymore either. I just don't often trust a lot of other people. It's weird though that I'm more open online. LOL. I don't know why. Anyway, yeah trying to be friends with everyone at the workplace can be bad too. I dunno, I feel like all forms of relationships at a work environment are just more awkward for a few reasons. What was also weird about where I did my co-op for 6 months is that 2 other people I had gone to school with ended up at the same place. That felt slightly weird. XD So there were 3 of us there that had all been in school together earlier on. LOL. Oh and about the hair.....yeah it's true that I'm pretty sure I'm doing a lot less damage to my hair these days. Although I'm not sure if washing it on a daily basis is actually good for my hair but it's pretty uncontrollable if I don't because it looks like a massive craziness when I wake up in the morning. I guess I could technically just wet it every day and that would fix that problem....but I just feel weird if I don't actually wash it every day. One annoying thing about letting my hair air-dry though is during the winter if I have to go outside while it's still wet.....that's definitely really cold.

Member pics! Yay. Sorry I haven't been online for a while, I've had mock GCSEs and they are hell *sob* Anyway, in the meantime here's a couple of pictures of moi. By the way, mintygreen, can I just say that I am super jealous of your hair. I always wanted curly blonde hair, but no go. :S Does anyone on here have tumblr, by any chance? alicestrangeway.tumblr.com/post/39672930942/so-by-now-some-of-you-lovely-people-that-just-so There you go. I have a strange obsession with moustaches. Also, Tom Hiddleston? Never seen him in action, though there're a lot of posts about him on tumblr. He seems to be quite popular among the lay-dies. Personally, I've never found him that attractive though...*shrug*

You are really pretty too! Anyway, if you are jealous of my hair.....isn't yours blonde though too? It looks blonde in some of your pictures, although it's hard to know what anyone's natural hair colour is these days anymore. Actually one annoying thing about my hair is that a lot of people do question if it's real and I always end up having to tell people that it is. Both the colour and the curls.....but it is annoying when people tend to assume it's fake when it's not. My sister has the same hair as me(infact I'd say it's a little curlier) but I'd say she's overall more traditionally better looking than me. A lot of guys have had crushes on her. LOL. I'm a little 'odd' looking in some ways personally....although I don't think that's bad or anything. I completely embrace myself, even though I didn't always. I used to wish I would fill out at least a little more(like maybe be 2 sizes bigger than I am, more like my sister, and have a bigger chest size, etc) and I used to hide the birthmark that I have. Anyway as for Tom Hiddleston.....I think he's good looking but I'm not as hardcore into him as a lot of other girls and I like some actors that are considered ugly to a lot of people(like Steve Buscemi....who happens to voice Randall....but I think Steve himself is hot too). You know something random....Randall's VA and Merida's VA are both in the show Boardwalk Empire and are a couple in that show. LOL. I wonder how many people have thought deeply about that. LOL.
