Some Pixar movies could fit in the same Pixar canon in some respects. And Monsters Inc has even more flexibility than usual- since we only see Boo's room in the human world.
But WHICH human world I wonder?
Of course it's not the only one which could share a universe.
For instance, Up/TS was in the same 'universe', (Andy had a card from Carl and Ellie I believe in TS3, one of those things they added).
If we take the comics (eh), TS is of course crossed with MI already, but we don't have to take them as full canon anyway. Though Boo does have a Jessie doll.
Finding Nemo is also possible in that Up/TS set up too, though interactions are far less likely (for obvious reasons!)
By rights we don't really SEE Boo's world. It could be technically more or less 'normal' with some weird addition such as those three (TS, FN, UP), or be like the Incredibles world.
(While I'm not sure I like the idea of that crossover in CANON, in fanon it is fun too, plus it's still possible- all we see is Boo's room- but in canon I more so like the idea the Incredibles are a popular comic book franchise in Boo's world- and just for laughs, Boo really likes Syndrome- I may not be a big fan of his, but that idea amuses me for some reason).
Also I believe Dinogirl attempted a Cars/MI crossover- using the doors set up in the factory as an idea as a portal to that world and had Randall in there.
I've seen PBL hint at the idea of Syndrome- CDAs technological similarities (what with the dome and all).
Personally, the most likely senario is that in which the Toy Story and Up worlds are consistent with Boos human world but many are possible.
I also however wonder about a future fic in which the WALL-E issue is addressed- imagine if IT was in the same universe as MI I wonder what became of the monster world when the humans fled earth in that case? Did they find an alternative energy solution? The fossil fuels would have run out by then if they are similar to our levels and used it at our rates even with the amounts they haven't used so far. I guess other forms of energy production would be utilised out of necessity, but maybe it's in bad shape itself or at least not as advanced as it should be- unless they decided to leave their world completely for somewhere else.
I'm curious as to what you guys think.
What crossover ideas are your favourite in terms of other Pixar movies? What do you think seem to be the most plausible?
