I'm very much a non-fiction, non -creative (sorry guys, but it appears i am not clever enough) person. Which is pretty weird considering i'm on this board. But then again Cool22 and Zelda are like, two of my best friends! w00t!

Well personally.
Non-Fiction gives you ALL these restrictions. Fiction, there are none. Then again, you can't say that ALL Fiction is Fiction.
Take umm.....aliens for instance.
Said their "Fiction" but their not.

I love a balance of fiction and non-fiction. I love to read about fantasy and other fictional things (Harry Potter and LOTR, huzzah!), but I also love non-fiction (books about history, nature, etc).

Randall, for me, is just like the most recent (if you can call three years recent) obsession of many, some of which can be classed as slightly deranged. ;D Like, for example, I used to be a giant fan of BLoSC (like Joy is now) and I used to adore XR, the sweet lil' robot with the big mouth. He was dudish. The weird thing is, they stopped showing that program years ago, and yet Joy seems to have found out about it recently...

C'mon, people, let's talk. *thundercrack boom* Okay, so you're a Randall fan. We all are. But what do you say when someone asks you why? Seriously, no matter how young you are, you can't get around adoring a Disney character without someone eventually looking at you like you've got a case of furry gout when you mention it. The older you get the worse it becomes, in my experience. ("Dude, you---like a Disney guy?" *pause* "AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!") So, what do you say? I'm asking for pointers, here. If you go into a monologue about his good traits and how he was misaligned, you know perfectly well that whether or not they smile and nod they're not going to be convinced unless you're very, very lucky. And simply saying 'I just like him, that's all,' seems too small a reply for such a great character. Where's the middle ground? Anyone have a tried-and-true method? I think some people tend to have gaps in their lives when they feel a little empty...they need something to relate to, something to rely one, something to discuss deeply and emotionally.... so they fill it with a character. Some people are just obsessive. Not that it's a bad thing. It 'is just a quality that some people have and others don't. Often yes, most people do not understand obsessions, but this is not because they are 'ignorant', or shallow or blind or stupid or ANY of these things, its just because THEY are not obsessed themselves, and you can't expect someone to know about something they have never experienced. Meh...sorry for bringing up this post again...but I really wanted to reply...eheh.

No, you're exactly right! Generally, people make bad comments about things that they don't understand or can't come to terms with. It's a shame, but exactly the same thing happened to Randall himself, didn't it?
