*rubs temple* Alright, everybody just stop. I've seen this pic YEARS ago, and honestly did NOT care about it. Sure, it leads to the image of Sullivan and Wazowski enjoying what they did at the time, and Randall showing his difference when compared to Waternoose.
BUT...it is NOT something to drum up to fuel some hatred talk. Sheesh. One side is being overly defensive and so's the other side.
Pistol, calm down. Yes, the image is pretty much straightforward, but it is for children. And it's a coloring book, a child wouldn't care about it, and hardly any adult is going to take a negative/positive opinon on the matter, so it won't hurt Randall's image. Pitbulllady...well your statement was just in general....but still, no need to get all wilded up about a coloring page. Vanessa...uhh...well you hardly said much so... Mistica/Veg, calm down...you DO have your points.

Probably so, but I was busy so had to wait. Anyway I just felt the need to say something. It's alright to see this image as a relfection of the event, but it's nothing to get all hate-fueled about.

I know the topic is already dead but I did tell TheOnePistol what the quote is on the page so it is as quoted
"Boo isn't afraid of Randall anymore. Sulley and Mike send him into the human world."
Okay, I'm done.

I saw that picture before, while trying to make something, right before I discorverd the board. It WAS messed up, I have to agree, but we all know that the next stupid “Kill Randall” thing is gonna be worse.

But it only said, "They're watching him fall down". It didn't say that he was murdered or anything like that. I doubt kids would want to look in deeper, they just want to color. You might not THINK that little kids "don't look any deeper", but believe me, they DO, and it DOES make an impression on them and affect their behavior. I used to not believe that, when I was young an naive, but after working directly with kids for nearly 30 years, let's say my mind has been opened. It's like a little kid who sees him mom flinch when they show a snake on tv; that kid internalizes that and it eventually becomes a full-blown hatred/phobia of snakes, even though the kid has had no real experience with snakes at all. As for the pic "following the movie", no it doesn't. In the movie, Randall was thrown into a trailer. His trajectory was horizontal, not vertical, not downward. THIS little pic makes it appear as though he's been thrown off of a door down towards the floor of the Door Vault, which is hundreds of feet below. Now, even though the word "murder" isn't used, from a logical perspective, what do you suppose would happen to Randall when he finally makes contact with that floor? I have the same problem with it that I have with the "canon" scene in the movie; it sends a very strong, very WRONG message to viewers, to kids especially, that hurting someone to get even with them is GOOD, that it's funny, that it's the best way to solve a conflict. Given the responses on Pixar Planet, a LOT, if not the majority, of young people actually do sincerely believe this, too. pitbulllady

My mom is scared to death of snakes and my four year old brother doesn't care so I don't think that your example was the best one with the mom and her kid...cause you know, like I said, my four year old brother isn't scared of snakes at all despite my mother's fear of them.

I was digging through my huge box of books last night, and I found an old book related to MI, called, "M is for Monster". It's spun MAINLY around Mike, referring to letters of the alphabet to things related to Monsters Inc, yadda yadda yadda... and then I found the letter "J". In the book, it said, "J is for jokes." Nothing bad, huh? Well below that, there's an illustration of Mike painting on a picture of Randall's face, the traditional mustache. But Randall does have his own letter, "R is for Randall. (He'll sneak up on you!)" I just thought I'd share that after finally finding it last night. You're welcome.

I thought we were now finished with this discussion. So, someone appointed you to be "Discussion Police"? WTF? It's still an open thread; just because you might not agree with the topic or what's been said, doesn't mean that others can't post in it. pitbulllady

Look here pitbulllady, nobody appointed me "Discussion Police" so who are you to judge me just because I don't want another pointless argument on whether Randall is evil or not?!

Oh, gosh what does this teach the kids? *sighs* Here's what I have learned about kids...a good number of the time, it goes over their heads....and that's about it.
