the "Animal Rights" movement has become, I present to you THIS: www.hedweb.com/abolitionist-project/reprogramming-predators.html , which was PM'd to me by a member here. It is a proposal to "reprogram" all predators to become herbivores or vegans, eliminating the need to eat meat and therefore the need to kill other animals. pitbulllady

Wow. This whole time I thought these radicals were only trying to wipe out humanity. Turns out they're trying to destroy nature as we know it, too, just like what their enemies supposedly do, according to them.

Bwah? I... just what?
They need to stop getting ideas from Futurma. (There was an episode there with protesting hippies who said they 'trained' a lion to eat tofu, said lion was thin and miserable. I can't remember if it ended up eating the hippies or dying. I think it was the former.)
Okay disregarding HOW they would do that precisely (do they not know HOW long it would possibly take to artifically select those type of traits etc etc if it was even the slightest bit POSSIBLE?*And what about when they find it wasn't? Kill all predators and meat eating animals instead? Good grief.) Wouldn't that mess up Ecology a fair bit even if it was possible? I mean there are only so many herbivores certain ecosystems can take and all, only so many niches which can be filled... I mean... come on. This would result in a mass death of many species even if it was possible and they succeeded in that. A lot of species would die from competition if in a weird waythat was even possible. If it worked that is.
Good grief do they even KNOW how many species there are in the world anyway? We don't even know them all! And the various complicated ways in which animals get food in a variety of ways? It's not just about changing their ENTIRE DIGESTIVE TRACT SO CARNIVORES CAN DIGEST IT (wtf? How? My brain just died thinking about that). There's also how they'd even GET the food. Ecosystems can be sometimes hardier than we think it is when something changes or more delicate, it's not exactly an exact science like Physics. I mean for instance a PREDATOR like the Otter is why kelp forests and what not exist which service many other different species. They feed on sea urchins. If they didn't do this, sea urchins would eat all the kelp and many other species would die. It's hideously complicated sometimes though and not as clear cut. Removing that predator in an ecosystem could kill it or another one. This would ALSO involve (let me see...) LOTS of animal testing and dummy runs probably and weird things with genetics. Lots of the 'carnivores' would die before they even get any head way, if any was made. It would be also of course, utterly pointless. And animal abuse to not feed animals properly to begin with.
Pointless animal testing and abuse.
Oh and if it worked many many species would die anyway.
WHY?
There's different levels really. There's over passionate and blind defence of a position, there's over zealous, and then there's bats*** insane.

Even when I was a rabid PETA-tard, I knew that lions, wolves and other carnivores had to eat meat!
