Personally I really liked overall the first scene of the scare floor where we get to see how everything works and some more of the reason monsters scare human children (for energy). It's also very interesting as we see a lot more of the work relationships and how people seem to interact so you get a sense of how things are there and the day to day work environment. There were obviously some bad moments for Randall but overall I think this scene was probably one of the most interesting.
What about you guys?

For me, I'm torn between when Randall temporarily beat Sulley, and when Waternoose heartlessly insulted Randall by comparing him to Sulley. The latter was the very first thing that made me realize that maybe there's more to the lizard monster than what initially met my eye.

I'll agree with Sgtyayap; MY personal favorite scene was that brief instant when Randall tops the Scare Board. It wasn't about "beating Sulley", but about simply achieving something he obviously considered very important and finally seeing his hard work pay off. It was clear that Randall put everything he had into Scaring, to the point of exhaustion, yet still couldn't seem to catch a break, and when Fungus calls his attention to the Scare Board, you can see the apprehension and skepticism all over his face. He just KNOWS he's going to look up there and see Sullivan's name at the top, if not his own name knocked further down than second place(or as the late Dale Earnheart, Sr. put it, "second place is the first loser"), and you can see his expression go from skeptical to shocked to pure joy as it registers that he's finally DONE IT! That smile, that look on his face, was like a little poor kid walking into a Toys R Us superstore for the first time ever...right before Christmas!
Other favorite scenes of mine are less obvious, but they involve work-place stuff that to many people seem pointless and are easily overlooked because they're in the background of a larger scene, like the two monsters apparently flirting in the hallway in the background as Randall corners Mike, or that unforgettable conversation between Needleman and Smitty about Needleman's epic fail at putting his mama in her place!
And then there's the entire scene in the men's room, especially when Mike returns and finds Sulley crawling on the floor on his hands and knees, looking underneath the stall doors, going "fee, fie, fo, fum....", lol. You have to admit that from Mike's perspective, not knowing the reason WHY his pal was doing this, that HAD to look awfully strange! I only wish that it had been Randall instead of Mike, since the look on HIS face would have been absolutely priceless! Then, for pure "eye candy", there's the part where we see Randall approaching the sink from Mike and Sulley's perspective, and you can really see that intricate mosaic of blues, purples, dark greens and teals that make up the pattern on his back, and see the muscles moving and shifting under the skin as he walks, while also seeing how the stress is taking a toll on him, physically, as he rubs his aching back with his lower left hand before turning on the faucet to splash water on his face and fronds.

The whole thing with Boo and Sulley in the bathroom scene was adorable and Mike's reaction was funny! (But yes, Randall's expression would have been hilarious and Sulley would have had a hard time explaining what he was doing, he'd probably have the lamest excuse ever ("I'm... I'm looking for Mike?" "... there is something VERY wrong with you. But I don't have time for this!" It would have added more weird fodder to the funny pokes at Celia's possible belief there's something happening between her man and his best friend if we'd also had a later scene with Celia asking where Mike is from Randall too! And Randall would probably say something which would make her exceedingly suspicious of Mike and Sulley in that regard. . But I guess they had to stick that convenient eavesdropping scene in as well. Ah well). Oooh flirting? I love little things like that with people with other stories and lives as the main story goes on. I'll have to look out for that at some point. Plus yes needleman and Smitty's convo was very funny!

Mine? Well, the part this happens : Randall:"Don't you think I'm aware of this situation?! I was up all night trying to find it!" Fungus:"I did a simple calculation, (I could'int really tell what he was saying, he was being too nerdy) Radall:"Well, until we know for sure we're gonna act like nothing happened, understand?" ;D

When Boo started to cry, and when Mike and Sully were singing "put that thing back from where it came from or so help me" stupid but funny.

The first time we see the scare floor is one of the best scenes. I love the small reference to the Apollo movie.
"Using mainly spoons, we dig a tunnel under the city and release it into the wild!" ..."Spoons?"
The entire bathroom sequence with Boo & Sully playing hide and seek (Fee Fi Foo!), and Randall trying to clam down until Fungus comes in screaming, "what are we going to do about the child?" Just announce it to the whole world. I don't think the scare floor heard you, Fungus.

I may give a different answer a month from now, but right now... When Cecilia is like "you don't expect me to believe THAT"...then gets run over by half the cast of the movie, convincing her that Mike was telling the truth :-)
