Know. What I meant by avoiding is nothing to do with right here. It's just....I've been asking about the sprites for the past few days.... I don't mean to be pushy and I understand how tough teachering is (believe me, I learned another lesson today, somebody stole my keyboarding teacher's expensive laptop she worked for), but I just wanted some feed back since all I have left is credits. Oh! So you have enjoyed Ran's stories. He'll be glad to hear ^_^ I wouldn't go so sure on the judge part Pitbulllady. Especially here in the human world. You think society (overall) would accept a monster as a citizen? Now I know in what I've written, I've become a citizen in the monster world......but....it does come with risks. Well.....guess that question is the basis for my Finale.. WHEN have you asked about the sprites? I haven't gotten an email from you in several weeks. I had emailed once and said that I didn't know how to make a repeated image, since that's what they would involve, with some minor differences. I looked at the ones Melissa posted on her DA account, but like I said, I can't get the images that size AND do them over and over again. I guess I can try to see if she can give me some pointers, but since I haven't ever done anything like those before, and they are very different from just making a single picture, I will need help from someone experienced in that. I didn't even know what "sprites" were, originally, since I've never played any sort of online RPG. The next time I will have to sit down and really work on something complex will be during Spring Break. As it is, I haven't even had time to do any sketches on paper, and on top of all the work they are piling on me at school, I have this raging sinus infection and diabetes-related health issues which are severely cutting into my creativity. It is very difficult to be creative when you're in severe pain. If you can find out how to make the same image over and over on one sheet, pass it on to me, because my programs on my computer won't let me do that. The images all turn out different in size. pitbulllady

What? Dang virus.....err.....he impedes everything..... Umm.....why don't you use paint? I could give you a sample Charset and Battle Charset pack. It shows you the max sizes of the characters inside. And you can use Paint to copy the image you put in one of the boxes and copy it to the box then alter it. I thought I sent you a copy of her sprites. Their good, but probably not good sizes. They are a good point of view of what Randall's battlcharset would look like. Ok....I see....there's the problem. Ok....I'll contact you here since my E-mails fuzzy. I finally figured out how to insert Paint images into my RPG database, so I think I know how to do this.... Here: Here's a template for the Battle Char Set: It has line barriers for the sizes of the set. Just copy the green chart onto Paint and copy the first Randall image (I guess it's the one of him waiting) into the first box and copy it into the second box using the square Select box. Here's the one for the CharSet: Ummm....like most Charsets, they include 6-8 different characters, but I'll handle that after Randall's made. Try this. If you have any more questions or get stuck, ask me. I've done this before.

What? Dang virus.....err.....he impedes everything..... Sorry. I know what a Sinus is like. Missed a week of school and my grades plummeted. Diabetes? Oh jeez.....sorry. I just....dang....Sorry.... No no. What I meant by "online" was what you just said. It's NOT like the Nemo RPG. It's one you PLAY. Like Baulder's Gate almost, just in the style of early Final Fantasy games. I do most of the work. All you have to do is what I told Avis to in Games and select your sets. O.o Oh....well, considering I've got no clue what Baulder's Gate or Final Fantasy is, NOW I'm a little confused. ;D But if you do most of the work...hmm.. I'll have to look at what you told Avis when I get a chance. And pitbulllady....y'know, I agree w/ everything in your second-to-last post on the thread. Yup, very true regarding animals. Now... *wanders off*

I don't think so.... 'Cause if it was, my dad would have nagged me to go out and buy something for my mom, and she would have asked where my gift was by now...

Mother's Day was last Sunday. ;D THAT must be in the UK...Mother's Day in the US and Canada is always in May, usually the middle of the month, on a Sunday. So, American and Canadian board members, don't freak out and think your mom is being out-of-sorts because you forgot Mother's Day. She's probably just mad with you for something entirely unrelated. pitbulllady

Those grid thingies look like what I've been needing-how come you never told me about those before? How can I upload those so that I can import them, in working order, into Painter or Photoshop(I HATE Paint-not enough control over brushes, colors, etc.)? Will this grid thing automatically resize pics to the exact same size, in each block? THAT is the problem I've run into in designing the sprites-well, that and finding time.

Oh. Well....I thought I did..... Along with test Randall Sprites from DeviantART
Well first. Here's what you do. You move your crusier (spell) over the image, Ctrl C, then paste it into a word document (or anything writing program that can substain pictures) then copy it onto whatever drawing program you want. That simple.
Wait what? Well the boxes just show you the limits, the max sizes. If it goes over the max size, you'll find your character with an arm in mid-air from the last movement.
Sprites are much like small animations. They are broken down into frames. For simple walking, it's 3 frams. Left foot, stop, then right foot.
Umm....first see if these templates help you.
You want to see Randall Sprite examples I found on Deviant Art. They seem too tall and they don't have all the actions needed for a battle character set, but they might help.

I can usually remember that Mother's Day's in May because the following month is my mom's birthday (June 9) and then her anniversary two days later!! So she gets 3 special days pretty close to each other..
