On Phineas and Ferb, there was an orange chameleon named Steve (Randall reference?) who loved mushrooms. He was a good guy, he even stopped the "evil" scheme in the episode. That episode was called the lizard whisperer.

Don't forget Louis the alligator from Disney's recent animated film, "The Princess and the Frog".

Here's the official trailer for Tangled. ;D I'm only seeing it for the sake of Glen Keane being producer. Here are some sketches he's done and they're done beautifully.

The sketches are amazing! Ugh, I really wish this was going to be traditionally animated

The sketches are amazing! Ugh, I really wish this was going to be traditionally animated I wish that, too, but Glen Keane, the very artist responsible for these sketches, wanted to show how CG could become "as pliable as the pencil". He also said, "There’s no photoreal hair. I want luscious hair, and we are inventing new ways of doing that. I want to bring the warmth and intuitive feel of hand-drawn to CGI." Though, I feel sorry for him, because other professional animators that worked with him are now hating on him just because he's helping out to create this film.

It's probably because some of these animators are part of the group who see CG as the murderer of their art and considering that this Glen Keane did start off and work as a traditional animator, they consider it like a betrayal to what he has worked in for so long. When computers were first invented and soon became adapted to help within the fields of animation, alot of "old school" animators really hated this new form and some even consider it like it's own disease. They do know and realize that two dimensional animation is become a dying art but if someone wants to try to meld the two concepts together, that could be helping keep the art alive for a little longer but being the "old school" types that they seem to be, they don't want to see that.

It also gets a bit more complicated though when some people have been working in traditional animation for years and are now finding it difficult to find work though. Not all of them are able to get into computer animation, esepcially if the've been doing the former art for a long time. I do remember meeting someone in my 1st year of uni and her father worked in traditional animation, but it was getting a lot more difficult to find work. I once made the faux pas of forgetting this when she'd told me before. Embarrassing even though I didn't really see her much anyway despite being friends with a flatmate.
With every advance or change there are winners but there are also losers I'm afraid. I do kind of think this would be better as a traditional animation personally, but it looks interesting and fun enough that I want to see it when it comes out.
It does have more of a dreamworks rather than disney feel to it though don't you think?
(Not that that necessarily automatically equal bad of course, but it is different).
Of course this guy decided to go ahead and learn from the new opportunities computer animation can present but not everyone can really do this.

Well, let me tell ya that Glen Keane is very much into traditional animation, still. There's been a rumor that there's a new Disney animated film called The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, and it's going to be traditional, WITH Glen Keane working in production. But! It's a rumor, so it COULD be possible or not.

Now calms yourself Vanessie, we never said that he wasn't still into it. judging from his sketches in relation to Tangled, he clearly still is. Every artist will have their favorite medium that they will always go back to here or there no matter where they decide to take their lives..even though I've been doing different stuff on my DA page, my fav medium is still the traditional pencil and paper. It just so happens that some of his fellow animators seem to be more miffed because in their minds, he's lost love and respect for this particular field...but judging from his work, they are just being silly.

I know, huh? He's just experimenting if the same magic of traditional animation can come through CG animation. When I saw the trailer, the characters look so alive and the movement kind of reminds me of traditional a little. Especially the bit where Rapunzel gets down from the tower with her long blond hair. It looks... traditional, only in CG.

Well as stated some of those guys do have jobs perhaps to worry about (or those who follow in their foot steps), but as said, things change, and this change would likely have happened eventually, he's decided to adapt and make use of the new area instead.
Of course not everyone can do this, and those worried for their careers have a right to be worried (as with any change), but I wouldn't call such directions disrespect to art or anything though myself.
Perhaps that could be what they're really worried about. It IS getting harder for those involved in regular traditional animation after all. Though there still is a market for it in my opinion, some things work out better in certain kinds of animation, some stories work in many kinds though regardless.
