Related to the film, in all honesty, I had never expected Disney to have Tim Burton do his own version of one of Disney's own films. Though, I CAN give the film credit, especially as the story wasn't invented by Disney.

Back when the film was first announced, I was just as shocked about that, believe it or not but I think it goes to show that Disney has gained respect for Tim Burton considering that they did originally fire him after he made Frakenweenie.

I thought he actually quit after they told him his character design for The Fox and the Hound looked like roadkill. Oh, how I would of loved to seen that conversation XD
I'm actually really surprised that it's already coming out on DVD! It seems like I only watched it in theaters not that long ago.

No, *he* said his foxes looked like roadkill. They moved him to the Black Caludron team instead. XD Burton and D*sney have long been clashing heads.
Alice in Wonderland was fun. Saw in theatres, illegally obtained copy, plan to buy DVD... =D

I have to say it is different to the 50's version that Disney made (and to which I still so dearly enjoy to watch on DVD ;D), but if any revamp to Alice In Wonderland, being what is so 'wacky' and 'wonderful' about the story, who better than to let Tim Burton do the film? Films with that 'dark' nature is his specialty after all, so I don't really see it as a surprise that Disney asked Tim Burton to make the film.
I have to say, I too, 'LOVE' the new version ;D! But to be honest, I can't remember a time where Tim Burton has ever disappointed me! Besides Alice In Wonderland, the latest Tim Burton film I've had a chance to watch was Sleepy Hollow (yeah, it's been on TV loads of times before, but I never found the chance to watch it, so I leaped at the chance when I recorded it in HD) and that was very enjoyable. I can't see who else could have re-made Alice In Wonderland.
Johnny!!! Who better than to cast as the Mad Hatter but one of Tim's closest friends who suits the part very well ;D! We've just placed an order for the DVD, so hopefully it should arrive soon this week, as I'm really itching to watch it once again ;D!

Lol, seems that I'm making a Burton fan out of my four year old brother, last week I watched my copy of Alice in Wonderland and he watched it with me and to my surprise, he liked it! Now, keep in mind that my baby brother is very picky when it comes to movies, there are times that getting him to sit and watch is almost impossible and sometimes when we do, he doesn't always like what we watch. Like when him and I watched Monsters Inc on blu-ray, he didn't like the movie because it had monsters in it and to him they were not acting like monsters but he loved Alice in Wonderland, go figure.
