Here's something I did for my art class since we were studying this artist named Mary Cassat. We had to make an emotional piece of art like the way she did, but we had to start out rogh, so I whipped this up. And today, I did the pastel version(I'm still getting used to them). PLEASE tell me what you all think!

They're both really nice! Personally I prefer the expression of the elk in the rough draft.

Actually, I think that the rough version of the elk looks too serious. But I like the final version. Though the rough sketch looks like a cleaned up frame of a film! ;D

Yep, but I wish that I had a rough ROUGH version. I love rough sketches for some reason... like Glen Keane's rough animation or from Ollie Johnston or something... ;D

True that; many times rough drafts end up better than the final product, especially if the rough draft isn't in color. And I'm talking from experience when I say that.

Well, you'll second THAT thought once you see Glen Keane's AMAZING animation! ;D I want to be as GREAT as he is!
Here's an example!
It's kinda rough, but you should see his animation on the Beauty and the Beast Transformation scene! ;D
