Is there any hope for such a re-release?

Hard to say. For one thing, it's already got the Blu-Ray release.

I haven't seen or read any mention of a 3-D release of M.I. With the release of the Blu-Ray disc, I'd be doubtful of a 3-D release.

A movie being released on Blu-ray doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't have a shot to be in 3-D, after all, TNBC has been released on Blu-ray and in some theaters such as some in California, it gets a re release in the 3-D circuit nearly every holiday season, maybe not in every city but some cities still do the 3-D version of it (I'm part of a TNBC fan site and some of the members on there who live in that area do watch it every holiday season where I sadly have only been able to see it once ). Who knows, depending on what kind of agreement that Pixar and Disney come to, it may get a release in 3-D, it may not but I will say this, movies done in stop motion or live action that are made for the 3-D circuit do look much better in it as opposed to computer animated films whether they are made for 3-D or released in it.

The only film that I know is gonna come out in 3D this year is Beauty and the Beast... other than that, I don't think they'll be thinkin' about it...

*sighs* Well, the way I see it, we can't fortell the future so who knows, if Pixar considers it then it might happen, only time will tell.

Yeah... but I doubt it. It'd be cool if they did, like they did with Toy Story 1 and 2 in October.

To be honest...I dislike the concept of paying extra for any 3-D movie. I went to see Coraline...and all that was really in 3-D was the opening and the Credits 0_0

I saw Coraline as well...about three times if I remember but it looked better in 3-D than the TS double feature actually but I guess it depends on the theater.

What I'm saying is...that personally some of them don't have enough 3-D for the extra cost. And heck, they should have non-3D and 3D versions for each film (if 3-D one is made)

Actually, they do that, most of the movies do have a non 3-D version as well or at least here where I live they do, only certain ones don't like the TS double feature for example but most of the 3-D movies do have a non 3-D version.

Not Carloline where we went -_- Really? Huh, well, where I live, there are only two theaters that have 3-D, the rest don't but personally, I wanted to watch it in 3-D so I had no problem paying the extra dollar...also, it's Coraline! (lol, no wonder she got mad about what people called her in the movie, very easy to misspell)

I think it would be more likely for the possible sequel than a revision of the movie, since it was just re-released. I'm rather ignorant on the process it would take to revise a movie to 3D, but I would love to see it for MI. Maybe in the future, but doubtful for this year or the next.
