It seems someone I'm not familiar with (and probably the same for you people as well) has posted a story on fanfiction.net about our favorite lizard monster, and it doesn't demonize him either. Check it out for yourself: www.fanfiction.net/s/5508297/1/Each_Last_Breath

Hmm, while I'm not sure that she is new since according to her profile, she did have prior accounts but as far as her DA page goes, her artwork is impressive.
In fact, she apparantly is doing an inked version of a Shadow the Hedgehog comic that is based upon that of another user who has started but never got to finish (I actually know this because the original artist is on my DA watch in hopes that maybe one of these days she will finish that comic ;D). Maybe depending upon this user's version of this comic, who knows, I may actually put her upon my DA watch.
Either way, this is some interesting information.

I'm not sure she's new, either, although if she's had any other M.I. fics up, she has long since removed them. I checked on her profile and there are none except this one.
I was particularly drawn to what she said in the prologue to the story, about how he would always hold a special place for her, due to sharing the emotions that she has experienced while going through life herself. That, of course, really sums up why I myself am so drawn to Randall. People who have been through the same things he did understand the WHY'S of his behavior, and he's more to us than just some "cool Disney villain". It's one thing to like a character, but to really feel that this character is in some strange way YOU makes it more deeply personal, and I don't think I'm the only one here who feels that about this purple scaly monster.

This is what makes m.i my favourite pixar movie too in the end, despite it's flaws- Sulley and Randall are incredibly relateable characters, or at least BECAME incredibly relateable as time went on in my life and I got a little older. Even though my own feelings of powerlessness were more or less self-inflicted I could still relate to Randall on some level, although my need to prove myself is probably not as strong as his. I can also even relate to Sulley's rage at him too and why he would want revenge, even though it was wrong. Even IF the story feels incomplete- this is all why it is a great movie to me. The characters. If the sequel tries to ruin it or 'them' I suppose would be more accurate fear, I'll guess I'll just have to strike it (the sequel) from my own personal canon. Still however unfortunatly, it may still 'wreck it' for me at the back of my mind. Because it still would exist.
Perhaps one of us should send them an invitation to join the board? ;D

I don't know why that is, honestly, but I know that in one of my Foster's fanfics, I put a link to a fictional website, and the server changed it to asterisks! I've tried linking to the Boggs Board before in reviews, and the same thing happened. Hopefully, though, she will see that she has a review and respond in some manner. pitbulllady

If FF.net has that rule for the same reason as the MezcoToyz forums, it's because of one thing, adult websites. I'm a member of the LDD Forums of MezcoToyz and one of the biggest issues that the moderators have there is having complete jerks spam up the threads or make posts that would take you to websites containing porn. That's probably why they have that rule. On those boards, we do have members who are kids like 11 and up age group and we know that their parents would kill them if they accidently stumbled upon some of that junk. While reporting it can help kick those kind of jerks off, it doesn't stop the fact that within time, some other dummy will join that board for the same reasons again, it's a big pain to deal with esspecially since so many people view LDD fans as being patrons to the devil just because of the dolls. Like I said, that's probably the main reason why they have that rule.
