Came back and saw the Toy Story 3d double feature and now there is an actual trailer that was shown for Toy Story 3 before the first feature.
Judging from this, for certain this would be the last Toy story movie we'll see, because to be honest, with the story for this, Pixar really doesn't have any further to go as far as making another sequel.
Basic trailer reveals that it has been some good years, Andy is now a young adult destined for college but yet, he still has his old toys so what fate is left for Woody, Buzz, and the gang?
Either a daycare or children's preschool, one of the two. Huh? I always wondered what Andy would do with his old toys once he got too old for them because it's like they say, nothing lasts forever.
Will they survive the horrors of being destroyed by little kids, well I guess we'll have to wait to see about that when the movie hits theaters next year.
Now onto the next topic, I couldn't help but notice in Toy Story, the type of design of the posters in Sid's room are similar to designs that rock bands who sell their logos on t-shirts at Hot Topic also use, not the same design but similar in design.
One poster that really interested me was a poster labeled Megadork. When I actually noticed the poster for the first time in a long time since I've seen the movie, it made me think of the band Megadeath.
For the rockers of the board, do you think it's possible that at the time of Toy Story's production that maybe Pixar had some employees who were rock fans or maybe that they had kids who were as well because of the design of the posters and such or what?
Just wondering.

I'm assuming this is going to be the last sequel. I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of the second movie. It was good for a sequel, but far from great. I watched the trailer online since my local theaters didn't show the double feature. It actually did make me a bit sad. I recently put out my toy box and I'm planning on dropping it off at Goodwill. It's been sitting in the spare room for some time now.
I could easily see the animators, artist, and writers putting in things like that. I think it's just a homage to either things they enjoy or to things you would find in an adolescent boy's room.

Well Bampot, I'm pretty sure that this would be the last sequel for Toy Story, after all the story's time line isn't the same to the amount of time that passed between Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in where it was only a few years. Toy Story 3 takes a much bigger leap in time line between that and the last one. Like I said, Andy is now an adult, I mean, where would Pixar even be able to go from making a move like that? It's like how or where could they even go from there as far as Woody, Buzz, and the others were concerned? Like I said, this for certain would be the last sequel for the Toy Story series.
Although I didn't mind Toy Story 2 so much, the only thing I could dislike it for was the "Era of Disney Sequels" that happened after it's success in theaters. While a few of the Disney sequels were okay, some just weren't needed. Even my favorite film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, received itself a sequel but it was in game form which caused it to be heavily criticized for that but the only reason why Disney couldn't get an actual movie sequel for that one was because Tim Burton refused to do it and even convinced them to drop the idea.
;D Ha, ha, you know what's strange about what you mentioned about what one might find in an adolescent boy's room. Right after I had originally posted this topic, my mom read what I wrote over my shoulder and said more or less what you put down. Like they say, great minds think alike.

Well, Pixar planet forums still broke but I surfed their site a bit, just looking around and I saw something on their blog relating to TS3. Oh my god, I didn't know that the voice actor for Slinky died after TS2! They hired a replacement actor, man, he better be good at acting in this film, Slinky dog is one of my favorite characters in Toy Story, this guy better be able to do his voice down to the letter, if not then I'll be pretty ticked about it.

I've seen the new trailer recently.... can't say I'm impressed.
Cliche Spanish!Buzz WTF. Some parts look okay though.
But seriously, Buzz was just off.
Have NEVER met a Spainard/South/Central American who acted like that. Ever.

Okay, maybe the whole thing with Buzz speaking Spanish was a little weird but I actually found it kind of funny. As far as Buzz's behavior, that all depends on how his Spanish counterpart acts. Sometimes in movies, shows, and toys when translated to other languages the characters might actually act a little different from their English counterpart. This is even more common in anime in where some shows may have the character having a certain personality and when dubbing for example for an American audience, some of those quirks of the character won't make sense to the audience so the character may be modified to fit that particular audience. Although, Buzz seems to be acting upon the stereotypical sexy Spanish kind of characters seen in television, one example is that one character called Wandisimo from The Fairly Oddparents. Now, I know as a Hispanic that not all Latino guys act like that but sadly some do, I've known one or two in high school who tried acting like that and personally, I found them to be silly. Hopefully Buzz's Spanish would be correct Spanish cause if not, well, than we'll know that it was white guys who wrote it. I'm not really bothered by this but sometimes when you went to school with white guys who were purposefully pronouncing Spanish wrong because they thought it made them seem more Latino, well, it doesn't. Still, that new slinky voice actor better sound good or I will gladly go all "resident evil" on his @$$!

Eh, guess so.
It's not really original though and not really that funny IMO. I thought TS2 was quite good, but I'm unsure of this one. In some ways it looks okay, in other ways it looks... meh. Subpar compared to most of their other work.
This would be the last one- though they can't do a fourth... can they?!

Come on, Andy is an adult in this, I mean, where in the hell could Pixar go with it? This is the last, that I am certain, now since they've reached the farthest this story can go, it wouldn't make sense to make a fourth at least to me it wouldn't.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread again but I was surfing Wikipedia and found out that Micheal Keaton will be doing the voice of a Ken doll that will be featured in the film...I guess I can't help but be curious as to how he will do in that role since for me, the role that I love him in was as the one and only Beetlejuice. ;D

Just wondering. It probably is a reference to Megadeth(and yes, I'm a fan), but it's too late-Craig McCracken beat 'em to it about 4 years ago! There was a poster somewhere in one of the Foster's episodes, in Terrence's room I believe(and Terrence and Sid would be such good buds if ever they were to meet), with the word "Megadork" on it and an unmistakable likeness of Dave Mustaine! There was also a shot of the guys from Metallica in drag in the episode featuring "Imaginary Man" and his villain sister, "Nemisister", whose Super-villain power was to make everything sissified and girly. That episode also featured Incredibles-style Super masks and suits, so there's apparently some connection between Craig and the Pixar folks. Just wish they'd hire him to direct or at least write M.I.2. pitbulllady
