Disney never did really have a lot of smarts when it comes to picking which characters will be popular and sell well. It took FOREVER for them to really put out any Stitch merchandise, especially for adults, and compared to what's available in Japan, even that is very limited in North America and Europe. They really missed the boat when it came to Randall merchandise, though. I mean, who'd a thought that this big, bad REPTILIAN "villain" would EVER be popular, huh? pitbulllady That's VERY interesting, because from what I've heard, the huge merchandise campaign for M.I. when it was released in theaters bombed pretty badly. It makes one wonder if this was partly due to the fact that Disney was (and is) pushing certain characters which haven't caught the public imagination as much as the company had hoped, while another, potentially commericially successful character was left in the dust... ~Light Rises

I would guess that's it, yeah. Mike and Sulley have just not grabbed the fans like Randall has, or even Boo, for that matter, yet there is relatively little stuff still being issued with her, unless it's with Sulley. NOTHING new with Randall, and very little with him even when the movie came out in theaters, yet his fans are the most loyal.

But some of his stuff has become really rare though. Even though most of his stuff is rare, there are a few items that are particularly hard to find...
Heh heh.... Randall keeps egging me on about all the stuff I have. Heh heh. It's funny watching him trying to match the expression on that make-it-yourself Randall thing I have heh heh...

I guess I'd like there to be more Randall merchandise, but if there was, I wouldn't be able to get excited about it whenever I get a new piece- it wouldn't be as special. But since it's all pretty rare, it's great to find something. ;D

I had no idea they had so much merchandise of Randall ; The only thing I had of him was a figure with flexible arms, and if you press a button, he cackles and his see-through innards light up. Loved that thing. I lost it, unfortunately. I'm still waiting for them to release a REAL life-size plushie of Sulley for me to squeeze, or better yet, Sulley AND a Randall plushie. ~Keaton the Black Jackal

A life-sized Sulley plush would be rather space-consuming, don't ya think? I mean, he IS supposed to be over 8 ft. tall and weigh over half a ton! They do have some pretty big Sulley plushies, though, even though I can't understand why anyone would want one. I guess I'm not a big Sulley fan, even though I don't outright hate the guy. It just bugs me that he's considered such a "hero", when he's really just a vigilante.
Now, a life-sized RANDALL plushie, THAT would be more like it! Even though it too, would be rather large at 12 1/2 feet long! It would be really tough to capture the feel of scales, though, which with the type of scales Randall has, are actually very soft, like a chamois cloth.

Well actually...I've heard of a book I haven't gotten yet that has a "feel" to it for young kids. On the back it says you can "feel" Randall's scaly skin. Now its a bit of a worry to me though....
Randall's only got himself two plushies. One of which is really rare. I have one. And one that's kinda less rare....

X3 He's fuzzy. ...Though, I see where you're going. I doubt he would be able to fit in my room... same with Randall. If they could, then it'd be quite crowded. *has no idea how tall or wide her room is* Maybe a twelve-inch tall plush of Sulley and a fourteen-inch long plush of Randall will suffice. X3 As for the texture of Randall's scales for the plushie, I've seen little fabric scales on plush toys of dragons in local toy stores before. Didn't effect their cuddliness at all, at least, negatively. Though, I'd happily settle for my plush of Little Mikey. Yes, Mike's little multi-legged cyclops plushie. It was so cute, and when I saw it in the stores, I couldn't resist buying it. I can't find it anywhere, though... By the way, Sean... *pst* ... S'it alright if I cuddle Randall like a plushie? =D? ...Why are you all staring at me like that? ~Keaton the Black Jackal
