How will Randall feel, as a top-notch Scarer, to find that laughter is ten times as strong?

This pretty much means his job is out of the window. Since he got uh *gulped* banished anyway, he must know that he can not really lead a normal job at Monsters Inc again, let alone, after experiencing that out there, a normal life. So, probably shock.

How will Randall feel, as a top-notch Scarer, to find that laughter is ten times as strong? No doubt this will come as a tremendous shock, though probably nowhere near as bad as the shock upon finding out that SULLIVAN is now the company's CEO! I don't think that Randall would have a problem accepting that Laugh energy is much more powerful, and who knows, he might even discover that the laughter of ADULT humans works, too, since with his quirky sense of humor, he could still succede as a comic, just not as the pie-in-the-face, fall-down-the-stairs sort of comic that most little kids(and apparently all of the Japanese people)get into. The good thing is, IF a court aquits him, or Sullivan develops a conscious and decides to drop charges and can pursuade the CDA to do the same(after all, HE has some dirt on THEM, too, knowing that Roz ordered the whole "kid" incident to be covered up), then Randall does at least have considerable technical and mechanical skills to fall back on. Somewhere on here, at one point, Dinogirl had a screen cap from SOMEWHERE showing that group entry onto the former Scare Floor, only Thaddeus Bile was in this group, so apparently this was supposed to be an apres-Laugh conversion. More importantly, RANDALL is there, too, only he's carrying a hard hat, that is different from the ones worn or carried by the Laugh Assistants, which leads me to think that he's a technician of some sort. That would make sense, and it is also a job that would be very, very important in a power company. If the door stations don't work, the Comics can't get any Laugh energy, and keeping all that machinery functioning tip-top is going to require a whole team of highly skilled people, headed by someone who knows how to delegate. pitbulllady

I also have that pic, and think it originated from it, on this lamenated card. On one side is the pic, on the other side a year calender.

Yeah, I'm serious. Steve started out as a stand-up comic, and he's funny as heck, but it's not the type of humor that little kids would find funny. I can easily picture Randall as being able to make people laugh, but they might have to take a couple of minutes to think about the punchline first. Randall shows a bit of that self-deprecating humor in the "Out-takes", reminiscent of one of Jerry Seinfeld's comedy routines. pitbulllady
