I keep hearing that he would get off on entrapment, but I find that a little bit of a stretch. If I interpret the Wikipedia article correctly, the defense needs to show that the person would not have committed the act if he had not been subjected to police "temptation". Even then you have sting operations and bait cars that put people behind bars. It is obvious Waternoose was doing this of his own free will. So what would happen to Waternoose?

Go look up "O.J. Simpson" on Wikipedia, and that should give you a good idea. Or, just read my recent post under "What Would Really Happen To Randall", about a prominent and rich area attorney here where I live, what she did(all Federal felony charges), and how she wound up only having to do 30 months in prison, with all felony charges downgraded to misdemenors. Bottom line: money talks. How many times have we already seen celebrities here in the US, who were indicted on very serious charges from kidnapping to child molesting to murder, get off and walk, even with overwhelming evidence that they did it? Waternoose is rich, he's well known, and even more important than just being rich, he's from "old money". He can hire the best legal teams in the business, and he probably knows an awful lot of judges...who still have kids who need to go to college.
