How many of y'all are on Twitter? I've never used it myself, but apparently it's a good tool for getting messages out. I AM on Facebook, and I know there are a few Randall fan-pages on there, as well as some general M.I. pages, so how feasable is it to use Facebook and Twitter, and maybe MySpace, to rally Randall fans who aren't here or on DA, to get them to write letters to Pixar, expressing our concerns for how he might(make that MOSTLY LIKELY WILL)be portrayed in the sequel? If we're gonna take action, folks, we have to get on it ASAP, since the movie most likely is already in some state of production. Now is the time, though, when it's earlier enough to change, before filming and voice overs actually start. Once a movie enters a certain stage of production, it's all a done-deal. 2013 might seem a long time away, and for anyone waiting to SEE a movie, it is, BUT, keep in mind how long it takes to actually make a Pixar movie, so at the early stage is when there's still room to make changes.
For those of you here, who are interested, Pixar's address is:
Pixar Animation Studios
1200 Park Avenue
Emeryville, CA 94608
I do not, unfortunately, have addresses for any of the actual employees, like Peter Docter, for example. If anyone does, please put them on here. Meanwhile, it would probably be useful to direct letters ICO Mr. John Lassetter. Letters need to be polite, business-like, and to-the-point, but at the same time, indicating how fond you are of Pixar's works, and their reputation for originality, which is why these developments with the whole "Good Guys Vs. Bad Guys" is not earning them any points in that department. Let them know that you feel passionately not just about this one character, but in the theme of forgiveness and second chances, in showing that there are two sides to every person, and that people CAN change their lives for the better.
