I've already PM'd Sean about it, and I know he isn't having issues with the board, but I wanted to see if anyone else is. I mainly have the problem when I open the board in Internet Explorer. It won't open completely, but "flashes" repeatedly, like it's stuck in a sort of "loop". It'll start to open, then go right back and start over...and over, and over...non-stop. I can open it in Mozilla Firefox, but the back button won't work when I'm on the site, so I have to click on a section or general board name near the top. It seems to be a Proboards issue, since every Proboards site I've been to within the past two days is doing the exact same thing. I've scanned my computer, and I've re-booted, but it hasn't helped. I have a new computer, one with Vista, and I've had quite a few issues with Vista, to say the least. I'd had to go back to using IE because my preference, Firefox, does not work well with Vista AT ALL, and I cannot view most pictures or upload stuff to my DA account unless I use IE.

Since I can't help much until I have further data...let me try some tricks... Try searching the board on google and hit the Cached link below the description, this gives a highlight (for the words you used in the search) of the page. See if anything unsual happens at the start. Then go ahead and select the Current Page link in the box that the cache made to see the page as normal. See if this trick, for the time being, helps.

I checked on IE and it works for me. Maybe something with your internet provider is causing the problem, but I'm not really sure. I'm not much help with those kind of things, but I hope you get everything working well soon.
Vista is such a pain, my laptop has it, but I can run Firefox very well on it. I'm usually on images boards and everything loads fine, but I haven't actually uploaded a picture on there yet.

I actually use Firefox all the time and hardly ever use Internet Explorer on my laptop! I am guessing it's a problem with your internet provider, like Bampot suggested, but I'm not totally sure about it. At the minute though, my Internet Explorer is having a problem, as every time I load it up, it freezes and I can't use it. It's the new Internet Explorer version 8. I think I've already done an internet search for answers, but... no luck.

I'm using both Vista and Firefox, and the board seems fine to me. I'm surprised you'r having such problems with Vista, pitbulllady- perhaps worth going to wherever you got the computer from and trying to get them to sort it out?

Whatever it was, it's fixed now, without me doing anything. I'm guessing that I wasn't the only one using ProBoards having that same issue, and someone must have reported it to ProBoards, and they fixed it. There are different versions of IE, and some are more "buggy" than others. My old IE used to act up all the time, which is why I switched to Firefox, but with this one exception, I haven't have problems with IE6.

Glad everything got sorted out and that there was nothing wrong with your computer.
IE loads images too slow for my liking.

*places fingers together*...hmm...say Pitbulllady...did anything pop up when these events happened? A sorta message along the lines of "internet explorer needs to close" or something like that, and asks you if you want to send a report to their server (which takes like a few seconds), or hit close, and then the page immediately closes when you do so?

Nope, nothing like that. No "warning" message or error message of any sort, just the site couldn't open. It would start, but then would go right back and start over...and over, and over...like it was stuck in a loop, accompanied by that clicking sound that IE makes when it opens a new site. It's not doing that now, but is opening normally. All other ProBoards sites I tried did the exact same thing, but no other sites did. pitbulllady
