Is Ran called same in other countries? I mean in croatia we call Ran Ranko ShtokShtok-European Whiskey Whiskey? I wonder why THAT is? Randall certainly never gave any impression of being a drinker, let alone alchoholic, so I can't imagine why he'd be associated with whiskey! I do know that in France, he's called "Leon Bogues", though the last name is still pronounced the same way and stems from the same Celtic roots. I don't know where the "Leon" came from, though, unless it's a shortened form of "Chameleon". "Leon" actually means "Lion", while the name "Randall" is an old Teutonic name referring to wolves. pitbulllady

Yes Fungus-Gljiva(mushroom) Celia-Bara Fungus' name I can understand, since a mushroom IS a type of fungus. Roz's name is appropriate, too, since "Roz" in English is a shorted form, or nickname, for "Rosilind" or "Rosalinda", which also means "rose". Before my grandmother died, one of her in-house caretakers was a HUGE woman named Rose, and Roz actually does look a lot like her, only Rose had legs. Same size, though. pitbulllady

Haha, that made me laugh for some reason. That's quite interesting how they change the names in different versions of the film though yes, they do seem to choose names without reason.
