Ha! That is one thing that Randall can do that the other monsters can't. Ha, ha! I laugh at their faces! HA! That Randall-hater on IMDb stated repeatedly that Randall's abilities of turning "invisable" and climbing walls were, in and of themselves, reasons enough to consider him "evil" and to kill him or banish him. In his opinion, those abilities made Randall a "threat to the entire Monster World". Get this-the guy could not comprehend the analogy I made between his line of thinking and the premise of "The Incredibles", whereby the government had taken that same stance-that people who had unique or unusual abilities, or "powers", were automatically dangerous because of this, and were not allowed to use those powers. He could see no correlation between Randall's abilities and the Super powers of some of the humans in that movie. Ironically, Buddy Pine obviously felt the same way-that anyone with such powers should be destroyed, since those powers made them "evil' and a "threat" to entire world. pitbulllady

Oooooh... ;D That would be an awesome counter-point, Pitbulllady, if those idiots over there didn't have IQs smaller than that of a potatoe. -_-;

I think it is just right to say that its not what powers or talents you have, its what you do with them that says who you are.

If they discriminate against thin monsters, like we would to overweight people in out world, why did Mike want Sully to lode weight? O-O
Was it because he's TOO fat? (stupid furry-lard-ball...>C) I don't think weight and size has anything to do with not liking Randall. For all I know, they shoudl be GRACIOUS randall is providing energy and power for their city, even if he's only 2nd best!!

If Sulley was thin, Mike would want him to fatten up. Mike's just one of those individuals who can always find fault with everyone and everything BUT Mike Wazowski(don't worry, Celia's gonna have her day under the proverbial microscope, too). pitbulllady

Well morely it's Randall being reptilian that's discriminative...
How about this Pitbulllady? Most people, or at least in Wazowski's sense, are intimidated by BIG BUFF people. And since we know Wazowski's riding the "I'm best friend of Top Scarer" line, he'd also use it to hide behind his "big buff" friend.

Wow I was just browsing this forum and saw this topic and decided to join to reply to this(and I do like Randall which made me want to join this forum too when I just found it today....I hope it's still active enough). Anyway, I actually never noticed this when watching the movie. And I want to point out that although in our human world overweight people seem to get the most crap....if you are really thin you do get crap too. I would know because I am very skinny and I have had some very hateful comments directed at me as a result of it. An example is one time in college I was sitting in the cafeteria and I was getting up from the table and swinging my backpack onto my back and I heard someone yell "Careful that that backpack doesn't break your skeletal frame!" I've also been asked if I eat nothing and if I am anorexic. I'm not, and it does get annoying that people make that assumption. I've even had counsellors at schools take me into their office and talk to me thinking that there simply MUST be something wrong with me. It really bothers me that people look at me and assume I starve myself or something. I also feel like in a way people get away with trashing thin people more than overweight people because it's considered mean to trash an overweight person(and I agree it's mean) but people don't seem to consider it mean to hate on a skinny person. It's like it's not seen as a bad thing for people to go up to me and make fun of how thin I am. If anyone is curious I do have some video clips on YouTube: www.youtube.com/user/KyasurinA pic incase people don't want to bother with the vids: frigida.homestead.com/files/AnimeNorth1.jpgI know I am REALLY thin and I don't need people to tell me I am. I don't look in the mirror and think I am overweight(which is what thin people who actually have eating disorders see). And I really blame the fashion industry anyway....I feel like people wouldn't be as likely to have those problems otherwise and thin people like me also wouldn't get as much backlash about it. And thin people might be popular in the fashion industry(which is I think mostly because when you are really thin they need to use less fabric to make the outfits...saving them money....and plus clothing hangs better on really thin people since it's the closest you can get to the clothing hanging the way it does on a clothing hanger while actually being on a person)....but anyway outside of the fashion industry, people as thin as me are NOT in favour. I think generally people who are considered attractive fall somewhere inbetween overweight and thin.....or are thin but not extremely thin like a size 0 like me. Also it's true that when you are really thin you appear 'weaker' to people. Like people joke that they can 'break' you and stuff. :/ So anyway, I'm sure Randall gets the same crap from people. -_-

Good point about the thin-weaker thing. Which is not always true. Heck shorter people are suggested to be weaker too because of their size, which is also not true.
Randall's...not bulky of course...maaaybe a little underweight at the time we see him. Though is far flexible than any human that's for sure. But yeah, maybe his thiness was used against him back in school. Hate the idea of being stuffed in some drain pipe ehh. (too thing, but you get the picture 0_0)
