A Randall-hater, that is, on the Pixar Planet forum. He doesn't "get it" why we want Randall to come back in the sequel as a good guy, when he sees Randall as the epitome of all that's evil. He sees Sulley(whom he calls "Suller", repeatedly-guy has the spelling skills of a first-grader)as the wonderful, perfect hero who "sentenced' Randall to the Human World justly. It's really, really hard to act civil around such a person.

*nods* Guy's a newbie as well, and it's fair to say he hasn't even bothered to view the fact-findings in the M.I. section at all.

Seems he sent a lenghty reply....he's actually trying to defend his position.

I just can't understand why people look up to Sulley as some type of hero! Yeah, he got Boo home... but he sentenced a monster to banishment illegally. I know many people have compared him to Stitch, and I believe that comparison is perfect. Randall didn't show his good side in the spotlight. That's why in the sequel, we think he can prove himself. Maybe if that ever did happen, we wouldn't have so many people on our tails .

Seems he sent a lenghty reply....he's actually trying to defend his position. I'd like to see him defend his SPELLING, lol! I mean, typos are one thing-we all make 'em-but this guy has reinvented the whole dictionary! I've noticed that pattern, too-the real Randall-haters, who just don't "get it" why people like him or want him to show his good side, inevitably spell and write like second-graders. Either this latest hater is a little kid trying to perpetrate like he's all grown-up and smart, or he's mentally challenged. Saying things like "Sulley sentenced(italics mine) Randall to the Human World", as if Sulley was a &%$#ing judge or something, certainly don't lend this guy any credibility. pitbulllady

So has Lizard Girl...but...I dunno...the way her post sounded just did seem...overally supportive... I think that LG is highly skeptical of Pixar's ability to be able to generate a script in which Randall undergoes a believable character arc, while at the same time, still keeping his "edge". IF he returns for the sequel, she's afraid that he'd either be even nastier than before, pretty much blowing away all doubts that's he's just totally rotten and evil to the core and always has been since , OR that he'll be this total goody-four-shoes. Neither, as far as I'm concerned, is plausible or interesting. On the other hand, if Randall is NOT in the sequel, then it will likely be more about the Wonderful Life of Mikey and Sulley, with their wacky adventures. She's really against the idea of a sequel, PERIOD, at this point, given what she believes are the choices. I would have to agree, IF indeed those were the only three scenarios we had. However, I'm still holding onto that slight shred of hope that the talented guys and gals over in Emoryville would be able to pull of a script, in which Randall returns but in which the audience sees a gradual change of heart, perhaps one in which another very young, and new, child character is the catalyst, and in which the audience can believe. If anyone can do it, Pixar can. pitbulllady

Oh yes... taking those choices into occurance, I'm not sure a sequel is a good idea . I don't mind if their is a sequel to Monsters Inc, but if there was going to be, I'd hope we get to see Randall's good side. But to that point, I hope they don't push his good side too much. EDIT: I had been searching for that thread you had all been defending our friend on, and finally found it. I'm seriously thinking over joining Pixar Planet on support for Randall .

I agree. I trust Pixar to make things right. And would be very disappointed if they do it wrong. *folds arms* Maybe they DO want to do a sequel of course (Doc already claims it in his clever way), but are taking spare time in the next few years to figure it out. Of course since most of their resources are fully on the upcoming films, figuring it out is being done piece by piece.
*thinks* A script...that's Pixar-worthy...hmm...something I should look into...

As usual, this Randall hater is just another troll who doesn't want to listen to anyone and wants to prove he/she is always right. Now, I don't mind if someone doesn't really like or care much about Randall, if he/she is polite about it and respects other people's decisions and also understands why we like him. But this guy, I don't think he's any of these!

I'd rather anybody who disagrees with your interests or hobbies just doesn't say anything, but of course, they have to spark off an argument.

Yeah, I've into a thousand people like that. It's so irritating, especially when I was originally willing to respect them.

Couldn't find the thread for the life of me. Could anyone direct me to it? I haven't been active on PP for so long.
I find it hilarious when someone tries to make a point, yet spells awful. Yet I hate it when people won't accept that they're wrong. Isn't that what discussions are all about? Trying to see things from other points of view and taking everyone's opionion into consideration?
Epic UGH at trolls.

Look under the Feature Films section, then under the Upcoming Pixar forum; the thread is titled "M.I.2 Leaked?" pitbulllady
