No, Randall got kicked out of the monster world by fur rug and eyeball without a due trial. Heck I know of several ways that (if I was Randall's lawyer) I could turn all the major infractions on to Mike and/or Sully. (Like letting the human child into the Monster World would "technically" be Sully's fault)

Yes but all the courts know currently is hearsay on that, and so obviously there'd be a statute of limitations out on him. If only one side is present to tell the story well....that's all they'd know.

If only one side is present to tell the story well....that's all they'd know. It depends on what charges they'd have against him, and if serious enough, there would not be a statute of limitations. Randall, though, would not be their main quarry-Waternoose would be. DA's don't get new feathers in their political hats by successfully prosecuting small fry like Randall Boggs. Randall WOULD have very useful information that they'd need, to get a conviction against Waternoose, and it's quite possible that he would be offered a plea bargain-freedom and dropped or suspended sentences in exchange for ratting out his boss, and I don't think he'd hesitate. I also don't think Sulley and Mike would say anything about him trying to kill them, since THEY did something illegal, too, and tried to cover it up. They were not hurt, and there were no other witnesses(other than Boo, and she would not count, obviously) so they have no proof that Randall did anything of the sort. pitbulllady

I find it funny that we're assuming the monster's legal system is the same as ours ;D

I find it funny that we're assuming the monster's legal system is the same as ours ;D From what we can gather, it IS, or very similar, in any case. When Sulley and Mike are entering the factory, they meet a monster and Sulley asks her, "How was jury duty?" That means that they DO have a judiciary system with jury trials. Penalties upon convictions probably vary a bit more than ours, since we do not have the option of banishing certain criminals, who commit certain offenses, out of our entire dimension/world/universe, but other than that, there's no reason to assume that the legal system in Monstropolis, which appears to be in the Monster World counterpart to the USA, would not have the same legal system that we do, since everything else, other than the dominant lifeform and the primary energy source, seems to parallel our world. pitbulllady
