if pixar made a Monsters Inc 2....what would you want it to be about? I'd want Randall to have a prominent role, of course, but not in the same capacity as in the first. I really want to see a believable character arc, with him having time to realize that he messed up, big-time, and being able to mature, emotionally, because of it. I think it would be neat to have a scenario where there is a very real threat to the Monster World from humans, and a teaming up between Randall, Sulley and Mike to save the day, which incidentally, WAS the basic premise of most of the early script versions. I'd love to see Randall get a chance to be a hero, to finally realize that the key to really feeling good about himself isn't by being rich and having power or even being famous, but by helping others and making personal sacrifices. I'd really love to see him and Boo work together in some capacity, and for each to get to know the other as PEOPLE, not just as some random human kid and some scary thing. I've kinda got some reservations, though, as to whether I'd want to see Randall go back to live in the Monster World, or make a new life here in the Human World, but I'd really love to see the movie give equal time to each. I think it would be great if the focus on the Human World aspect was in Louisiana, especially in or around New Orleans, to really help that area out in its own recovery. Heck, Katrina herself, as bad as she was, could prove to be the catalyst for Randall's change of heart and new outlook, and it would surely be a bold move for Pixar to take on the horror and devastation that occurred in the aftermath of that storm. pitbulllady

^ Ditto. In simpler words, I wouldn't want Randall to be stereotyped as the "bad guy" anymore.

I would also like one where Randall becomes more of a villain and wins. But you can't have that in a Disney movie

I would also like one where Randall becomes more of a villain and wins. But you can't have that in a Disney movie No, you KNOW that neither Disney nor Pixar are going to make a movie where the villain wins! Besides, WHAT would be the point of having Randall play that role again(even though HE was not the REAL villain of the movie, but more of a henchman)? It would just make more people hate him and want him to suffer, as if he hasn't been through enough already. It sure wouldn't send any sort of positive or beneficial message. It's pretty much a rule of movies or television that eventually the villain will get his/her just desserts, usually in some horrible fashion. Why would you want that for Randall? Randall has more than his fair share of haters as it is, but if he were just to play the role of unrepentant "bad guy" again, he's only have more, and a lot of the people who like him now probably would no longer do so. It would also make him look stupid, because it would prove that he didn't learn anything at all from his past mistakes, and for that to happen, he'd have to be pretty dumb! I can't find it in me to really admire a stupid character, or one that is just plain evil and has no real good about them. Those are the ones I just pull for...to be done away with as quickly as possible. Just having Randall appear in that light, and not having learned any lesson from what happened to him in the first movie, would more or less prove that I-and most of the people here on this board-have been wrong all along about Randall being a victim of circumstance and still having good in him all along, and all the haters who believe that Randall is the epitome of evil incarnate, and always has been from the day he was conceived, were right. pitbulllady

Well I hate to see villains make stupid mistakes that I would have caught easily. I like it when villains are actually intelligent. That's why I liked the anime series Death Note.

I think Light should of either won or lost to L instead of introducing Near and Mello After L I kind of lost interest in it.
