I honestly have no idea. I'd say a year is plausible, though I think it could have been any time from about 6 months up to 2, maybe even three years.

I don't think they mentioned it in the film, and I double-checked it so if they said it I'm going to feel pretty stupid ... Was just wondering how many years had passed between Waternoose's arrest and the reconstruction of Boo's door. Boo's voice sounds slightly older to me when she says "Kitty" in the end, so it had to be a year or so. Any thoughts? This has always been bugging me but I kept forgetting to ask ... One year, almost exactly. If you pay attention to the data shown on Sulley's clipboard, this shows the company's stock performance, in chart form, beginning with November of 2001 and ending with the last complete month, October 2002, which means at the time Mike finished re-building Boo's door, it would have been the beginning of November 2002, since there was no available data for that month yet. The date on the newspaper that Randall was reading, in which the headlines were about the human child invading Harryhausen's restaurant, was November 4, 2001, and Waternoose was caught and arrested later that same day. The devil is in the details, folks. pitbulllady
