I FINALLY got a chance to drag out the old Wacom tablet and pen and create some new fanart, even if it's not Randall-related. This is inspired by the Cartoon Network movie, Good Wilt Hunting, one of my favorite characters, and of course, my favorite breed of dog, the American Pit Bull Terrier. Now, if you don't understand Pit Bulls, beyond what you've been told by the news media, the politicians and lobby groups who want to exterminate this breed of dog from the face of the planet, the picture won't make much sense. Neither will it make much sense if you haven't watched much "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends", and especially if you didn't see Good Wilt Hunting. One of the things that Wilt shares with the Pit Bull breed, along with his stamina and strength, his loyalty to his friends, his overall good nature, is a little-understood quality that Pit Bull afficianados call "gameness". Now, the Pit Bull haters, the ones who want you to believe that these dogs are all bloodthirsty monsters out to kill all the innocent little children(notice that when people try to stir up negative emotions about something, they always play the "Child Card"-"this time it was a squirrel, next time it will be somebody's child...") maintain that "gameness" is another word for uncontrolled aggression/meanness. Not true, not true at all! Here is how "Roget's II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition" defines "gameness"- "The quality of mind enabling one to face danger or hardship resolutely". That's gameness; that's why Pit Bull people, or "bulldoggers", as we often call ourselves, love this breed, and that's one of the reason why I love Wilt so much. pitbulllady

Whoa! Look liked a Wilt Action Figure at first glance ^_^ I would just about KILL for a Todd McFarlane Wilt action figure...if there were such a thing! Maybe since DC Comics DOES own the rights to the Foster's comics(and yes, there is such a thing as that, very well-written and well-illustrated, I might add), there eventually will be. pitbulllady

Okay, WOW. That's really good... I really like your art, I've seen your Randall stuff before, and I gotta say you must have a lot of patience to add such detail to all of your pictures, whether it be scales or those wonderful little nuances, like the pit bull silhouette where Wilt's shadow would be. The coloring looks excellent and waxy, almost like a painting, and Wilt looks adorable, but then again, when DOESN'T he? =P
Great work, all and all.

very awesome! Wilt looks so game! your drawings are always so great. are you the one with the life-size Wilt plushie? i can't remember. i totally agree with the your whole Pit Bull thing. people make them out to be such terrible dogs, when it's people who gave them a bad reputation. they have a competitive nature and that's why they are so commonly used in dog fights. so terrible. Pit Bulls and other dogs (German shepherds, Doberman Pincher's, Rottweilers, etc) make some of the best pets and most loyal friends.

Yep, I'm the one with the nearly life-sized(it's eight feet long)Wilt plushie, handmade by Sparky, who is a member of this board, too. I am probably a tad biased, but it's still the most awesome Wilt plush I've ever seen, the closest to actually looking just like him. pitbulllady

Great pic pitbulllady!!! ;D ;D ;D I don't believe that pitbulls are these "blood-thirsty killers" that bite people for no good reason. My dog is half pitbull and she is funny and puppy-like. Plus we have a bunch of kids over at our house right now and not once, NOT ONCE, did she try to bite them! Pitbulls can be sweet just as Chihuahua's can be deadly!

Me like. ^_^ What did you use for this? Looks pretty shweet! I use a program called Painter ProCreate Classic, which is made by Corel. It's actually a very old and rudimentary version of Painter; they have a Painter ProCreate v. IX which is absolutely awesome(I installed a free 30-day trial version)but it's also expensive, so I have to wait for that. It uses a Wacom digital graphics tablet and pen. I sketched out Wilt on notebook paper, used the digital camera to photograph and upload that, then created the entire background using Painter's airbrush feature. I then imported it into Photoshop along with the sketch of Wilt and used the cut-drag-and paste method to move just the outline of Wilt into the airbrushed background. I imported that BACK into Painter, where I finished coloring and shading Wilt and blending him into that background, and added the shadow, all using the airbrush feature. pitbulllady
