Well, at least your brother's addiction means your mother MIGHT be overcoming her fear of snakes. XD Well...I don't know about that, she told me that the reason why she did it was because she felt really bad about the snake's cage being icky and also, Cacelia only shedded half of her skin, hopefully with the cage clean, she'll feel more comfortable and be able to shed the rest of it. In fact, yesturday after my mom cleaned out the cage, she actually spent the rest of the night outside of her cave, just laying out and chilling, sounds like she was pretty happy that somebody in this house decided to be responsible for once. I will admit that when my brother first started having reptiles, my mom didn't like it. She now doesn't mind reptiles due to the types of lizards that my brother has kept but snakes she still feels just a little uneasy. She's had this fear since the time that she was little and had a very frightening experience with a rattlesnake in a bathroom. Despite her fear though, she doesn't believe in allowing an animal to suffer....besides, it's better than my dad's stupid approach which is "It's his pet, leave it alone, if it dies then at least he'll learn."

Well, my snake seems okay now, after puking up that pinkie, she stopped the weird mouth munching although she keeps every once in awhile just opening her mouth, almost like she was holding her breath and letting out the air. Everyone in my house officially think that I overreacted.

That's great, Mistica. And yes, it IS somewhat typical of a snake to realign their jaw after eating.

Well thank you for that, but what she was doing, she has completely stopped doing. What she was doing wasn't that realigning because that's what yawning is for. I honestly believe that she may have bruised her jaw a little because she attempted to eat the pinkie feet first instead of head first like she is supposed to...I honestly think that for the past day or so, her jaw was still out of wack from when she ate the meal and in her desperate attempts to fix it, was doing what she was doing for that reason. If she does have problems like that with her jaw, I'm going to have to watch her very carefully with future meals, I also have at times had my own jaw get stuck because I can actually pop my jaw out of place and pop it back...I know how bothersome that feels to have it be stuck for a certain amount of time so basically, I understand her feeling when it was bothering her.

Gah! My best friend got engaged just now! She just called! I'm so excited for her! We've been best friends for so long now and she's the nicest person I've ever met. I'm just overwhelmed with happiness for her! They're planning to marry after school, which will be late next year most likely. And I'm going to be a bride's maid, something I've never done before! To top it all off, my other best friend is coming home from college for the weekend to move some more stuff up to her apartment and we're making plans to hang out. Love my besties <3

Well I'm 23 today! I am... offically older. And my age means I'm closer to 30 than (not so sweet) 16. Though at least I kind of know I have grown up since then on some level from my soon to be ash-old-diary which wasn't so long before then. Kind of hung out with people before hand so not much celebrating today but did get some presents. Sister got me a DVD of a movie I haven't seen but have an interest in doing so. Thanks sis!

I think I've found a new hobby: Making Leather Mask. After watching a good amount of tutorials, I'm getting ready for the process of gathering supplies. Leather is...expensive. Before I try ordering online, my mom brought up a great idea of going to local factories. She used to cut leather at a couple and said that the scraps they have are perfect for mask and I think they would be great practice. She's actually going to call for me tomorrow while I'm at work to see if they would sell some scraps to me! I'm very excited and looking into what kind of acrylics to use and the tools that would come in handy. If any of you have any experience in leather crafting, tips would be appreciated. And, yes, I'm already thinking up some designs for a Randall mask I hope I can really carry this projects through, unlike some of my other ideas that backfired on me. I have a good feeling about this one.

Thanks for all the Happy Birthdays!
In other news, While I've moved my stuff into University accomodation, I'm moving in perhaps properly tomorrow. I'm a bit worried, but since I did some volunteer work in that area before I at least know someone who'll be in the city as well as someone who will be doing a masters in the English direction this year from England who lives with her. I've only met two of the people I share a kitchen with, they're from far afield but they seem nice enough (one of them in my department though not the same course and is also doing a Masters... the other is a fresher from China... oh lord I feel Ooooold). Can't say I care for the shared wash facilities very much, but meh, it's pretty good given the age of it.
Bampot: Good luck with your new hobby! Unfortunatly given to certain horrors I've encountered by not being careful on the internet, my mind jumped to a certain image no-one wants to hear when I read 'leather masks'.
-Hangs head in shame-
(I'm sorry!)
But yeah I know it's innocent don't worry. Heh. Good luck!

Good luck moving in and keep a nice update. Even though I had bad times, I'm still nostalgic about my old dorm life and would love to go to a university again. Ugh, you share bathrooms? Is it like, just with your roommates or with the whole floor? I've known it to be both, mostly the ladder. Lol, yeah, I feel creepy looking at all these leather sites. I'll go ahead a post the link to the woman who inspired me, so you can get the jist of it: here. I think they're just beautiful. I'm going to call a certain popular leather crafts site and ask their CS about what leather would be best and about how big of size it will come in. Yeah, it does look like I'm going to have to order online. You would think with all the cows around these parts, I could catch a break.
